Palace are better away where they can counter attack although I suspect they will still sit with a low block and try and use their pace against us. Versus City I was very disappointed in them, far too passive. I thought it was a match where City could struggle but instead Palace just rolled over and had their belly tickled. I expect a harder game for us but still think we have too much for them.

15th November 2019 at 6:12 pm #52987AnonymousSurprising to see Palace only have 2 wins at home but I dont agree that it will be routine. They are a bogey team. In fact, there’s the potential for complacency in the run of fixtures after the break. Routine wins on paper could turn into 2 draws and a loss.

15th November 2019 at 6:16 pm #52989AnonymousAs for complacency, although its always a problem when you see an easier run of games, its not a particular problem for Klopps Liverpool. All the same though, its that or we start counting chickens.

15th November 2019 at 9:17 pm #52999This is getting a little bit like treading on Egg shells. Jeez. I get the past, but we’re allowed some sense of optimism.
If we’re Tip-Toe-Tip-Toe for whatever reason as well as this Forum, then, quite frankly, I’m not enjoying it. Caution Yes, but maybe for us to live a little.
I get it though, during Roy EVANS’ era and look where that got us.
Palace will be HARD WORK!!!!!!

16th November 2019 at 10:40 am #53026Haha Mav to say Liverpool have come a long way since then is an understatement.
Konchensky, Jovanovic and Poulsen with Hodgson in charge have to be the lowest point of my time supporting liverpool. So just think no matter how bad you think supporting Utd is at the moment you’ll never be that bad! And we made it back.
Mo Sissoko was a good player and could of become very good if not for that eye injury.

16th November 2019 at 10:58 am #53027Funnily enough, I stumbled across this and what struck me is that we had Joe Allen on our books and Klopp let him go including Can and Moreno. Moreno definitely had to go. The other two were not bad players, but for Liverpool to reach that level like Man City, we had to really invest in quality.

17th November 2019 at 5:44 am #53057AnonymousI tried to create a thread earlier and it failed. In this thread I backed Nine against the things Moos said. I spoke about our slight differences from time to time but above all, about my over all respect for him as a quality character, putting Chelsea in such a better light for me, after our brief, mostly European based rivalry.
Its these recent times though that have made me think that this forum, as a multi-club community might (just my suggestion) benefit from multi-club moderation. I think the Liverpool fan base is not only large enough but also contains a number of people who could offer something to the site.
it’s not my place to nominate someone for a position that doesn’t exist but in the hypothetical situation where this is seen as a good idea, I would nominate Sean. As I said in my seemingly gone post, Sean clearly has a passion for clearing up some of the issues we see on here but unlike myself, he has the restraint too when required. I know you wouldn’t want such a task but that’s all the more reason why you should have it, as you’re also very active on here.
I also spoke about how Brian could be a moderator.
If these lads don;t want these positions then perhaps just offer them the ability to moderate without any expectation to do so and trial it.
anyway give it a thought. I was tired before.. Ive no idea why Im still awake.. but hey thats life.

17th November 2019 at 1:36 pm #53073I never understood even with Hodgson in charge why we didn’t unleash our kids.
Wasn’t it just a combination of everything going on with Hicks and Gillette in being Greedy along with not being able to attract good players and regressing?
We couldn’t just signed players from the Championship. Milan Jovanovic is no different to the ilk of Torben Piechnik. What on earth was Christian Poulsen too?
Once upon a time I had such high hopes for Pacchio and Nemeth. If only Rafa has more faith. It’s no wonder on the other site, there was such a divide of Posters.
