22nd September 2024 at 11:42 am #215669Would it be fair for us to be convinced that the ‘science’ on the back of assessing the examples of Bournemouth and Forest that essentially struggle against the team that sets out ultra defensive with a low block plus thwarting our wide play from creating any breakdown?
Diaz is reminding me of a cross-section of Coutinho and Mane as the main danger man. He has been immense so far. The goals what have been missed in his valiant contribution has been rewarded. We need him.
I still say we’re short of 2 more players; one robust attacking central midfielder or striker and one defender.
We need to carry on with the momentum in picking up points whilst we can because we do have winnable fixtures coming up.

30th September 2024 at 12:32 pm #215806Touch wood and thank goodness as we approach October, we more or less have a clean bill of health albeit Nunez and a relatively short-term injury re Harvey Elliot.
We need to continue to utilize our players finding their strongest positions or positions they can comfortably shoe-in into; Joe Gomez more mature and just gets on with it.
Zobo for me is slightly under-performing where he needs to be more clinical with his finish. Gravenberch has grown. Would like to see more of Endo and hopefully, we continue to integrate Chiesa.
A good time you’d think to play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, then again, we have been here before. Only 2 goals conceded, 1 at home and 1 away, so that’s an encouraging stat to work from.
Can’t see either Man City or Arsenal slipping up, so it’s vital we get our job done Saturday as this is the last game before International Break.

28th October 2024 at 11:22 pm #216177Although influenced by many surrounding factors, Trent as a human can say YES. We need to starting thought-processing rebuild; tying Van is good, but these players ,even Robertson have Shelf Life.
I think even Man City are starting to feel it with Kyle Walker. Josko Garvoil so far in versality has turned for Pep to be quite a good Chess Piece.
Always better to replace bit-by-bit than allow ‘nature to run it’s course’ then react in rebuilding quickly in a short period when in reality, the Windows now will not be kind to you!

3rd December 2024 at 12:47 pm #216661Leading up to Christmas before Boxing Day, we have 4 league games:
Newcastle Away
Everton Away
Fulham Home
Tottenham AwayI still think we rode our luck a bit with Southampton. I’m not quite sure where people are getting Van Dijk being the all time best centre half. He has been brilliant sure, but he has a lapse in him. We need Konate back and although there are players that can step in, here lies the problem with our defence and injuries.
Gravenberch a Key player for us and probably now a regular starter and the new Gini. I would still like a Milner type of player to come off the bench, offer us experience and calmness and see us get over the line in games.
It’s possible to predict highly in percentages that we won’t get all 12 points. 8 Points out of this would be good. If Jota can return at this moment in time and get back to scoring, that would be a huge boost.

9th January 2025 at 6:42 pm #217244Just heard from a respected ‘ITK’ that if, and that’s a big if, the Saudi’s come in for Nunez this window we will go for Osimhen with his 63m release clause and laon break clause.
I know the echo said something today about Osimhen but this ITK info adds weight to the speculation.

10th January 2025 at 10:50 am #217246Anyone remember most recent we signed but never really played any minutes for us and got either loaned or transferred out?
Chiesa is starting to resemble to this player.

10th January 2025 at 11:49 am #217247Yeah Nil Kvaratskhelia rumours all over the place at the moment. Also hearing Diaz is some way off renewing so maybe it’s a Mane/Diaz situation where we get a player in January to replace a player to be sold in the summer. Kvaradona is a brilliant player however, I would suggest an upgrade on both Diaz and Gakpo.
I don’t think we are actively pursuing him it’s more if the opportunity arises for a deal we will be interested as he’s a player we’ve admired for a couple of seasons. Will be more than us if he is in fact available.
Can’t see us getting him and Osimhen mind. The ITK was Macca if anyone here knows of him, very much respected ITK.

11th January 2025 at 6:14 pm #217256Kvara confirmed by Conte that he has demanded to move this window, but looks increasingly likely it will be to PSG. Would be a big same if we miss him.
Elliot and Doak might be off? Like them both but they will give large profits that hopefully be put towards targets. Doesn’t affect the HG this season but I think Elliot would be next season.

11th January 2025 at 7:40 pm #217257Seen that y’day on Twitter 3ps re Elliot. I like him and think of him as part of the furniture; like a back then young David Thompson. Unfortunately, looks a bit on the cards the signs of departure.

13th January 2025 at 6:23 pm #217303Nunez to Al Hilal! Personal terms agreed. 400k per week or something stupid.

13th January 2025 at 8:08 pm #217305š Oh no 3ps, I actually quite liked him š He is a mix of frustration and sheer joy. I did read of Liverpool placing an 80 mil price tag for ‘window-shoppers’.
I’ll absolutely miss him!

14th January 2025 at 5:42 am #217306Rumours are we’ve rejected their first offer of 70m. I know it’s natural to reject first offers but 70m is a lot of money for someone that clearly isn’t in Slot’s plans. Apparently Edwards is handling it instead of Hughes (not sure I believe that) and that Al Hilal want him for the summers Club World Cup which would mean they need to buy him during this winters window.
Who to replace him? As he hasn’t played much you could go for a like for like bench warmer and promote the very talented Danns to get occasional PL minutes, but maybe he still needs to develop physically first. But I think we need a striker and as I’ve said Osimhen has been mentioned by an ITK but he wanted 400k to join Chelsea in the summer so can’t see it happening myself. Maybe the well trodden path from Leipzig to Liverpool? If we want a highly mobile striker there’s Openda, or a big but skilful player to operate more in the box in Sesko. I’d go for Sesko I think.

16th January 2025 at 7:03 pm #217384Long shift today, so just catching up.
I would like us guys to try and avoid the mindset of not being down or sort of threatened from Arsenal (or any team for that matter) closing the gap. It’ll probably do us good to be a little conscious and try and step it up for our next up and coming games.
Where I am disappointed so far is the lack of financial backing (so it appears) or our failure so far if attempted in not acquiring any new faces to strengthen and bolster our squad.
I’m hoping this changes soon and of course, we tie down Salah.
