Loads of Respect and Man love for this guy. He should be our future Captain.

22nd September 2024 at 11:42 am #215669Would it be fair for us to be convinced that the ‘science’ on the back of assessing the examples of Bournemouth and Forest that essentially struggle against the team that sets out ultra defensive with a low block plus thwarting our wide play from creating any breakdown?
Diaz is reminding me of a cross-section of Coutinho and Mane as the main danger man. He has been immense so far. The goals what have been missed in his valiant contribution has been rewarded. We need him.
I still say we’re short of 2 more players; one robust attacking central midfielder or striker and one defender.
We need to carry on with the momentum in picking up points whilst we can because we do have winnable fixtures coming up.

30th September 2024 at 12:32 pm #215806Touch wood and thank goodness as we approach October, we more or less have a clean bill of health albeit Nunez and a relatively short-term injury re Harvey Elliot.
We need to continue to utilize our players finding their strongest positions or positions they can comfortably shoe-in into; Joe Gomez more mature and just gets on with it.
Zobo for me is slightly under-performing where he needs to be more clinical with his finish. Gravenberch has grown. Would like to see more of Endo and hopefully, we continue to integrate Chiesa.
A good time you’d think to play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, then again, we have been here before. Only 2 goals conceded, 1 at home and 1 away, so that’s an encouraging stat to work from.
Can’t see either Man City or Arsenal slipping up, so it’s vital we get our job done Saturday as this is the last game before International Break.

28th October 2024 at 11:22 pm #216177Although influenced by many surrounding factors, Trent as a human can say YES. We need to starting thought-processing rebuild; tying Van is good, but these players ,even Robertson have Shelf Life.
I think even Man City are starting to feel it with Kyle Walker. Josko Garvoil so far in versality has turned for Pep to be quite a good Chess Piece.
Always better to replace bit-by-bit than allow ‘nature to run it’s course’ then react in rebuilding quickly in a short period when in reality, the Windows now will not be kind to you!

3rd December 2024 at 12:47 pm #216661Leading up to Christmas before Boxing Day, we have 4 league games:
Newcastle Away
Everton Away
Fulham Home
Tottenham AwayI still think we rode our luck a bit with Southampton. I’m not quite sure where people are getting Van Dijk being the all time best centre half. He has been brilliant sure, but he has a lapse in him. We need Konate back and although there are players that can step in, here lies the problem with our defence and injuries.
Gravenberch a Key player for us and probably now a regular starter and the new Gini. I would still like a Milner type of player to come off the bench, offer us experience and calmness and see us get over the line in games.
It’s possible to predict highly in percentages that we won’t get all 12 points. 8 Points out of this would be good. If Jota can return at this moment in time and get back to scoring, that would be a huge boost.
