We are kicking ourselves with the Melo signing. Is that just naive of us then taking a punt, knowing his history?

10th October 2022 at 10:56 pm #199681Yeah All True Sean 4:02. Klopp really lifted the players. The Players really need to stand up and be counted.
You are right about our midfield and it’s so easy to spot where it’s gone wrong for us.

11th October 2022 at 12:28 pm #199693Nil, you maybe struggling but these things happen in football, nothing is constant. It will happen to City sooner or later. It happened to Liverpool before, Utd, Arsenal etc. In the intervening years football management has become better, planning succession for players and management is now a must. It will not work from day 1 but if the right building blocks are in place, the better the chance of getting through these phases. I just think that Liverpool will improve they are not as bad as some would think. I have no doubt we will see the real Liverpool on Sunday, Pep already thinks it is the hardest game of the season at Anfield

11th October 2022 at 7:02 pm #199696Not really had a chance to check news etc, but I see Trent and Matip are both out on top of Diaz. This is all we need, although admittedly, I have been critical of Trent’s defending.
Klopp needs a restructure in place now and something he can try and stick by from this formulation (luck on minimal injuries, players’ form etc).

20th October 2022 at 5:50 pm #200166Gomez is shed loads better as an ‘understudy’ to James Milner. Trent on the other hand……

23rd October 2022 at 11:54 am #200253I had a good night considering we lost. One of the worse and humiliating defeats on a Saturday. I can’t remember the last time to have experienced one.
What has happened to us?
We struggle away from home to gain a foothold. Why aren’t we more industrious and accept that we have to put in the application?
Salah alone isolated. Players up the top need to be forced deep to support the midfield. I’m not sure what Fabinho brings us. Harvey Elliot and Carvalho too inexperienced. Curtis Jones not really there having come back from injury.
We have a disjointed 11 than a fluid 11 and this reminds of the season after the Title. We are probably fighting at the moment for 6th.

23rd October 2022 at 12:13 pm #200254Ye nil, that was a tough defeat to take but we knew exactjy what was coming. I agree with everything you say. Fabhino had been dreadful. Really poor and needs to come out of the team. Gomez makes to many mistakes.
We need to get at least 7 points out of the next 3 games before wc and then get players back for dec 26th and rest of season.Get with in 4-6 points of top 4 and 4th is our aim this season.

23rd October 2022 at 1:09 pm #200256Sean, the frustrating thing out of this is the we’re actually only 11 points off the pace which makes a doable comeback to start climbing up the table.
Where’s our fight on our bellies?
Definitely agree mate in what we need to do for our next games before WC. I’ve said many times to others please give these other teams the Respect they deserve because they are playing at their home to Liverpool, so of course, in their minds, they’ll be super up for it and their supporters especially being newly promoted teams.
We’ve been casual and 2 stand out common-de-nominators are that both Fulham and Forest were out of the blocks fast. High tempo and intensity and we struggled to deal with both.
Our away form is dis-functional. In contrast, we play better at home. We need to select the right players, but Klopp’s headache is injuries and form, which is what we’ve struggled with, plus ageing players and tiredness/mental health.
I am generally happy with what we’ve achieved and I want Klopp to stay all the way. I’m sure we can turn this around. Maybe small steps though and getting back to basics once again.

23rd October 2022 at 1:35 pm #200258Obviously missing the main man in Mane will flag up time to time, but what about Divock Origi?
Minamino too.
No more Super Sub and Game Changers.
Ox yesterday was a rabbit in the headlights.

6th November 2022 at 9:25 am #200559Having seen Tottenham’s injury list, this game really should be for the taking.
Do we have what it takes mentally to go to Spurs and win all 3 points?
We really need to reclaim our synergy.

11th December 2022 at 10:17 am #201711All our players should be returning to the fold. Apart from the usual individuals, we should have a clean bill of health in players being fit and ready.

11th December 2022 at 11:33 am #201714Yeah, cheers Nine, all true. Jota still out too. Presumptuous of me because Diaz and Jota are key attacking players we really need. Nunez in my books is still yet to hit the ground running.

18th December 2022 at 9:14 am #201751We need a midfielder in jan nil and we need someone to play on the left as jota and Diaz gone till march. That wonβt happen. No way have we 109m for Bellingham in the summer either. We need to spend big money and we donβt have it.
First time in a while Iβve been quite pessimistic to be honest. Iβm hoping the break refreshes us but I really think itβs going to be one of those seasons

18th December 2022 at 11:33 am #201758Sean, subscribe to all of that mate.
I’m not holding my breath on Bellingham unless we can attract an investor who will shell out transfer fee and wages.
We need top midfielders (2 at least) for sure. We need a clear-out too. Time to release players like Ox, Naby, Milly. They need to leave.
I’ve missed Liverpool a lot these past weeks Sean even though the World Cup has been an enjoyable tournament from Qatar. I don’t know what the team will be like. I do hope the players are fit and ready to fight for points. We need to start winning matches most of all and get back out mojo. Diaz and Jota still missed and we really need them back.

19th December 2022 at 10:29 am #201789Nine, haha, I’m kinda not. We could probably be out of this competition by Friday. If we edge past, that would be a great morale and psychological boost to kickstarting our season.
