Playfulness aside, it’s the best news for an LFC fan.

29th April 2022 at 1:09 pm #195742The vision of the club Sean is to be successful mate, build a legacy and then rebuild for new generations to continue the legacy. I get what you mean though.

1st May 2022 at 11:36 am #195773No new injuries to our players as far as I’m aware, albeit Firmino and Origi.
Squad rotation paid off yesterday. Milner had a good game, Gomez had one even better. Just the one thing that lacked which we rely on is crossing and set pieces. When there is no Trent or Mo, we don’t really have a free-kick taker.
I like the rotation. I don’t think though, Klopp would risk unless there were injuries, using other players like Elliot, Taki and Kostas; even Curtis Jones.
I’m gonna miss the other lad that’s left to join Fulham; Nico Williams. What a squad we have now. Potentially, 7 Cup Finals to decide what else we win and how many.

1st May 2022 at 12:28 pm #195775I thought we were excellent yesterday nil mate.5 changes and we totally dominated. We just werenβt clinical enough. Excellent win
Problem is I really think we are fighting a loosing battle in the league. City just wonβt drop points. They are to good
I just really hope we can deliver another trophy ad we deserve it for everything. Game after game etc. remarkable stuff from us and city in the league.

1st May 2022 at 12:45 pm #195776Yeah, I get what you mean Sean, you’re right. All we can do is try and win our games.
There is more to look forward to mate. We have been speaking before about the younger fans not been able to experience Wembley Finals. This time round, we have that chance. I really hope we win the FA Cup and the Champions League, I’ll be happy with that.
The only realistic way of winning the Prem is a good start at the beginning of the season. It is disappointing we’re likely to be in the 90s points-wise, but still be runners up. City are too good. Rodri yesterday showing fight. Like us, many of their senior players were sitting on the bench.
We did well mate to claw back a 12 point league and blessed we are still in this position to be able to fight for the title.
Cheers

5th May 2022 at 11:00 am #195847Can’t believe we are the worst ranked English side on UEFA’s coefficient. Those early years out the competition were costly.
The main reason that #RealMadrid β¬128m is higher than #LFC β¬118m is the UEFA coefficient, where they receive β¬36m, compared to Liverpoolβs β¬23m.
The Redsβ ranking will improve next season, as the 10-year coefficient will drop 2011/12 when they did not qualify for Europe. pic.twitter.com/XJoTzGRmGR

12th May 2022 at 9:28 am #196036Time to channel our energies in the cups. Been swamped in this league lark, it’s like the morale has dipped in the Liverpool camp. We should be feeling upbeat and with excitement.
It’s the FA Cup Final. It meant something to me when I was growing up and it still does now. We can’t do anything about the league now. That’s all but gone.
It hurts looking back how we’ve fallen short. Clearly though even hitting mid 80s in points and 90s is not enough. The bar has been raised that high. Just 1 Title I was after. Maybe next season.
We can win the UCL and the FA and that would give us the Treble. Joyful in my eyes. We need to give it everything between now and the 28th of May.

12th May 2022 at 9:54 am #196037Isn’t it amazing that you dare even have a draw or it can be fatal when shooting for the big prize. I wanted you guys to win so you’d get one clear of United but I see even if City lost one of two left they’d win on goal difference. I’m not fancying our chances on Sunday at all Nil so the domestic cups double should be yours. As for Real Madrid, hope you destroy them. Surely they can’t keep riding on the backs of Benzema and Vini Jr.

12th May 2022 at 11:26 am #196038C67, kind words mate. What ever the circumstances are I pay the price when I get slightly ahead of myself. Lol, karma I think it’s what they call it π
It’d take a miracle. We’d have put at least 6 or 7 at Southampton and West Ham and Villa would need to take points. It can happen in a one off game. Pep’s too drilled and immersed in focus to even look away for one second.
Psychologically, our players need to be careful not to be too drawn into disappointment. They need to try and be positive and seek to accomplish.
Saturday again, anything could happen. Our high line will always pose risks as long as an opposition team tries to expose it. It’s a lottery and Chelsea have just as much hope of winning the FA Cup.
Real are strong and can never underestimate them. My concern is Salah going off the boil; essentially and ever since this business with his contract that has yet to be signed and sealed as a new deal. His form has dipped and on big games, we need to be able to count on the big players.
All this talk and we could just end up with one trophy. With perspective, it is something to be grateful for.

12th May 2022 at 11:36 am #196039Gary Neville said some months ago that with Liverpool having those 5 strikers he felt it made them more dangerous than City. However, that doesn’t appear to have played out. Yes, you can maybe put some of it down to fatigue as Liverpool have played more games, but if you look at Salah in the recent Spurs game there were several moments where he could have passed to someone in a much better position and instead chose to shoot, probably thinking of his own scoring record. We’ve seen Diaz look frustrated with him & Mane in the past when Salah didn’t pass to him. Contrast City who don’t have many strikers and share the goals more equally throughout the team and have more selfless players to make better decisions in the box and that’s probably borne out the difference between the two teams.

12th May 2022 at 1:36 pm #196043We look exhausted. Chelsea owe us. Narrow win for them
They should have beat us in the cc . The runners from deep catch us out.
Bad feeling

12th May 2022 at 4:44 pm #196046We haven’t or rarely have had that luxury of everybody available and in form. Salah definitely top of the list. Jota lately not finding the net. Firmino injured. That leaves us with Sadio and Luis Diaz (bless the man) who’s been 300% first class in his attitude.
What has happened though? Even with rotation, players are exhausted. I would be interested in a comparison to the year when Liverpool won 5 honours. Okay so Community Shield you can’t really count, but I’m making reference to 2000/2001 – our Treble Winning season + Charity Shield (then) and Super Cup.
The obvious first answer in my mind is style and ‘ways of working’ i.e. the kilometers covered in the time spent on the pitch. We didn’t expect to be involved in all the competitions or be in the running for them for this long.
Ideally, we should seriously consider the 4-2-4 as we have the experience. However as far as this summer goes, we either focus on tying down players or we begin to search for replacements. Just how long realistically will the front 3 stay with us?

15th May 2022 at 2:06 pm #196110I think there’s a chance of 2 different team sheets drafted out. If City drop no points, it’ll be effectively an entire changed 11. The main guys will be rested.
Villa aren’t producing any miracles let’s be real and goal difference is killed off.
I know though in the back of my mind which is highly commendable is that the guys are ultra professional and focused. They won’t take any game lightly.

16th May 2022 at 7:26 pm #196154Nike…do not worry, I think Southampton have only won 9 matches all season and you should breeze past Wolves at Anfield. The only question is…will it be enough? We will know soon enough.

16th May 2022 at 11:36 pm #196159You win both and City only draw and you are Champions. That simple nil.
You’ll beat Southampton surely so it’ll be another last day extravaganza. Should be good. Don’t write off Villa getting a draw either. Maybe nerves will get to City. Anyway both champion sides so good luck nil and Brian.

Chelsea were excellent and have a great manager we just got lucky on the day.
Two trophies is brilliant for us. One more to go but Iβd rest a few players now as canβt see city droooing points to villa. All about the cl
