Fans should stick to this section if we want to post about the club

You say there are a lot of lfc fans on here and people get uptight about it so we will stick to here when discussing Liverpool

Sean, you still seem to be somewhat missing the point mate.

I was commenting on any Liverpool issues I was commenting on the idea of recruiting more disenchanted Liverpool Teamtalk posters to Footydebate which imo is a Footydebate issue.

If you think that’s a good idea from the viewpoint of the site as a whole that’s your opinion and I’m happy to respect it my opinion is that for Footydebate to further develop it needs to somehow recruit posters on a broader Club basis.

Sadly we also seem to have lost a number of City posters too from last season.

Not up to me mate the Ed sets the strategy on here and he may think the more the merrier no matter who they support my personal view is that it would be a shame to see the site completely unbalanced with Liverpool posters and it become a Liverpool site by default. Just my opinion mate.

By the way I’ve not mentioned on here people getting uptight about anything. Cheers 999

Mikus, imo TT lost its way due to the takeover with the site being down for such a long period due to that and many posters being lost because of it.

Just on the Chelsea site a lot of posters were lost because of this and sadly never returned.

Another problem is that the new owners have rationalised the Staff managing TT which means there are not enough staff or investment to get some of the things done that need doing the entry page is unfortunately a reflection of that.

This site however overall is a haven with many high quality posters and the Ed deserves great credit imo in achieving what he has from a standing start with no help from anyone else whilst pursuing his career and with all of his commitments he has of having a young family. Cheers 999

Sean, my comment had nothing to do with the Liverpool page or Liverpool going forwards mate it was a general point on the suggestion that more Liverpool posters should be recruited from the TT Liverpool site.

As I said in my earlier post imo what this site needs is “a balance of posters from different Clubs joining and with no disrespect to anyone not more Liverpool posters joining that turn the site into a Liverpool site by default.”

Just my opinion mate agree or disagree with that opinion as you and others see fit. Cheers 999

Certainly didn’t help Nine, but had they kept it more like the hub it was, I think a lot more would have come back (which could have further boosted revenues). Instead they focussed more on the instant posting side, but with a lot less to drive it.

I agree with Nine in that a forum heavily biased towards one team is not a healthy situation. It would be good to have more posters from other teams and I find it enjoyable to hear a different perspective. Obvs not if they’re just a wind up troll but think we can all spot them a mile off!

Speaking of which tMA has come out of his post Liverpool champions league sucess hibernation it seems. Please never let him find his way onto these pages!

Never felt so Positive for a Lifetime so to speak and confident in my Beloved to finally nail down the League Championship in what will be a 30 wait since 1990.

For Years and Decades, we’ve had to suffer and watch our arch Rivals Manchester United Dominate and knock us Off Our Perch. Manchester City are the Current Team To Beat, but we pushed this side right into the final day and finished 97 points Runners Up.

If that isn’t Motivation to go one better and Nail The Title then I don’t know what will be.

Pre-season or not, I was disappointed and a bit upset losing to Dortmund. Bit concerned too on our Forward line up as to how READY they are to step up if we are

A) without Mane (Main Man) for a bit

B) aspiring to a serious Title Assault

Can’t afford to fade off and play catch up

To me, every game between now and August 9th sets a precedent.

I’m not really bothered by the Dortmund loss. It’s only a match to get the lads ready but ya, the AFCON is a genuine problem for us. We’ll be down Mane and a partially fit Salah. Even Firmino might struggle for fitness in the early stages and that could cost us a title challenge. On the other hand, Fabinho stayed home and Brewster is getting a lot of practice in with the big boys. Gomez has come back early to fight for his place, so our defence will be tip top from the start.

A shame about shanks getting banned on TT but kinda funny that it was as a result of that martial twat, or whatever his name was. I don’t quite get how you could be trolled for not winning anything, after number 6 but I didnt read it so…

Anyway, to give my 2 cents here, Nine, you might not have mentioned anything about others getting in a strop on here (as Sean was talking about) but it’s definitely happened and for no good reason too. I myself have been accused of being on a wind up, when I’ve not been. So, I get where Sean is coming from.

I also get what you mean and agree that it wouldn’t be even more unbalanced in terms of the user-base. As Liverpool fans from TT, we talked mostly to other Liverpool fans. We all want to add quality posters and these are the ones that WE know. So, maybe the others supporters need to get their thumbs out and put in a bit of work to contact someone they rate and would like to add, or bring back etc etc.

If something good be done here then we might be able to avoid the situation where we’re shying away from bringing in a quality poster because he would throw the numbers out of wack.

To say a little more about Mane, Nil. I agree, he is the main man. I would be interested to think what a non-Liverpool supporter thinks of us saying this. Their stats were pretty similar but match to match, Mane was more influential , last season, by some way (in my opinion)… and that’s not taking anything away from Salah, it’s just how brilliant Mane is.

Now, 2 seasons ago, Salah was undoubtedly the main man. He seemed very stressed last season and it cant be easy to have the weight of expectation on you after such an incredible 1st but that is gone now and even though he wasnt anywhere near the same, he was still very good. Combine all this with the fact that Mane won’t be there, that maybe we’ll see a quick start, not a slow one from Salah. Maybe this will drive him on?

We will also have Oxlade in peak fitness from the start. He can take the top right position,. with Salah moving to the left. It might not be so bad.

Mak, as I said it’s the Ed’s decision as to how the site develops.

I joined a General Football site and I think is a great little site with some great posters in that mode which would be even better with a few more posters but it has to have a good balance of posters imo.

My personal opinion is that we already have an imbalance on the site through nobody’s fault and to to suggest that Liverpool posters should actively go out and look to recruit even more Liverpool posters would add to that imbalance at the moment and it would potentially become a Liverpool site by default rather than the General football site that I joined.

That’s not me being anti Liverpool and threeps who is a very good Liverpool poster on both here and TT agrees with that.

I agree it would be good if we could attract other fans from all Clubs to the site but that has proved difficult in the past.

Anyway mate it’s not my call and it’s all down to the Ed who has done a terrific job in building this side completely on his own and if he’s happy to see a campaign to attract more Liverpool fans to the site take place that would add more Liverpool posters to the site that is entirely his call but imo that might be at the expense of losing posters from other Clubs and we’ve already lost a few like Brian that it would have been much better not to lose.
