Ah no here feelings mak all good mate.

In fairness Paxton has called it as it is and he is a spurs fan.

Just no point getting annoyed about it.,we can’t change it mate

Anyway 3 points off city and we are doing really well. I had my doubts but we look very good. If crowds go, I’d be very concerned about us. It really didn’t help us last season

Also city are firm favourites now as they have played a lot of the top teams away. They should be winning the league every season anyway but I still wouldn’t write off Chelsea being up there. We just need to keep going. Loved watching us this season. Absolute joy at times

No Chelsea have no chance, I’m more hoping we will finish in the top 4 cause United and Spurs are under new much improved management and they do have the players and Arsenal are winning regularly. Don’t think any of the other clubs will mount a serious challenge besides the top 6. Most of us said from the start it would be a City/Liverpool 2 horse race for the league and that’s the way its panning out.

Sean, it’s depressing because I can see City running away with it now. Rover, you might find yourselves ahead of us again, when we lose Mane and Salah. We went through a rough patch there about 6 weeks ago, you’re going through one now. You’ll have another good run at some stage, we’ll drop points yadda yadda. I wonder if City will do the same but I’ve wondered that before and sometimes they have.

If we lose crowds then, I’d say we’ve no chance. They werent the only reason we were so bad last season, the lads were demotivated after the covid break, with the league wrapped up. Taking that into the following season makes it extra difficult, on top of how hard it already is to win back to back titles.

Nine, I guess there are some hard feelings but I’m dropping it.

Agree with Rover I really can’t see Chelsea winning the title this season very best for Chelsea this season imo is 2nd or 3rd once they get more or less a full team up and running again then I think we’ll see Chelsea’s results improve from there.

Disagreements aside, I wish you the best of luck with your treatments and that your xmas is as pleasant as possible.

As for me, I love to discuss football, not just Liverppol and I try to be as objective as I can. Without delving into it more, maybe you can understand my issue over the past few days. If not then it’s ok, it’s in the past now. There are more important things.

As for Chelsea, it’s just like us. We struggled to see how we could possibly challenge for the title, when we weer losing to west ham and drawing quite a few games.

A few years ago, I said that the PL would be boring without Liverpool, as City would go unchallenged but then we saw the 2 horse race era and that was also not good enough. Little bit of a blip, but I still think Chelsea have bridged the gap and the PL needs them to maintain. I say this as I wonder if City are on the verge of running away with it.,.. maybe that’s why Im thinking this, actually.

Hand on heart I can understand some of the frustrations from Sunday as I’ve said previously Kane was fortunate not to get a red card and the push on Jota looked like a penalty to me.

Fair enough Nine, I should take example from Sean, although I cant believe that he took it so well. Credit to the lad but also WTF 😀

He took the path of ‘it was a great game’, I took the path of ‘it was a great game until’.

Last you’ll hear of it from me, cause the ref aside, it was a bloody amazing game and the lads did so well considering that we had 2nd-3rd choice midfield.

I would say Konate could have done better with Kane’s goal but he was just unplayable in that moment. Looked like old Kane.

Quality of refs in todays game are shocking.

Kane should have been off, Liverpool should have had a penalty. Along with Ederson cleaning out a Newcastle player.

You have a tool there to help you get these decisions right. Yet they still some how get them wrong.

Nil, thanks for your kind thoughts and words buddie. I can usually get by with a few bad days just after the Chemo it’s just this time with Christmas up straight after I don’t want to spoil it all for my Wife whose had to put up with so much this year.

Nine, it wouldnt be unselfish of you to ask her to delay christmas dinner until you’re through the bad days after treatment. I won’t pretend to know your situation but surely she’d only love to hear this kind of information.

You still have a few days, so at least open up the conversation and see what she says. I can’t imagine it being a case of not being able to cancel plans because people should not be coming over to visit during covids largest wave (well, it’s going to be). It is seemingly a milder strain but you have a weakened immune system, you cant mess around here.

No family and a delayed Christmas dinner.

Mak, yes we’ve already agreed to cancel Christmas dinner if I’m not up to it and we would usually spend Christmas with all the family but we can’t do that this year given my situation so we’re on our own over Christmas hopefully when I’m in a better place and Covid is in a better place we’ll all get together again.

Ya, there’s a chance I may be spending Christmas alone for the first time. It doesnt bother me, except that I don’t want my mother to be alone. Of course, she lives in the country, so they really have no idea why they shouldnt all come visit you.. It’s just weird to me.
