3ps, what I’m alluding to mate from our experiences as fans is that we’re not just able to thrown money and sign who we would like. We have conditions such as re-sale value, and we have to balance our books.
Personally, it’s nice that we do bring in a couple of new signings, but realistically by now, we know how our Owners operate.

Ah yeah get you, fully agree.
Its weird as it’s frustrating not to be able buy players but I’m glad they have this business model where they don’t just accumulate debt or pump their own cash in willy-nilly. I am sure next season it will be better as I’ve said before I think our kitty is based on projected earnings and they should be back to normal levels. We will never be buying 100m players unless someone like Salah is sold however, like what happened with Coutinho.

And Tiago! The guy cares about our Defense and I see him as a Perfect Milner Replacement if he adds more in Attack which I’m sure in time he will.

4 nil was incredible, the cherry being Minamino celebrating his goal in front of fans.
I see weaknesses in his game but there is a touch of brilliance too. We had another player like this, who drove me mad but was also hard not to love. Luis Garcia.

Excellent performance in the end yesterday, partly thanks to Arteta livening the crowd, and therefore the team up. Until then, it was pretty soporific, to be honest, but from 30 minutes on it was men against boys.
Tell you what also, Robbo will be looking over his shoulder at Tsimikas…another great performance from him yesterday. Robbo is going to have up his game, I reckon.
January and losing Mo and Sadio for a month plus really worries me though – just can’t see us coping without both of them for that length of time – one of them maybe, but both, definitely not, Will certainly need Bobby back and firing then and hope that Minamino or Divvy can provide soem sort of cover, but I have my doubts. Will we spend any money? Really think we need to, but have said that for 18 months now.
Anyway all good for now…let’s hope Rafa can do the business at the Etihad this afternoon, but can’t see that either.

Ya Sean, we do alright. As for where we might be, It’s anybodies guess. If we keep improving defensively, you might say we’ll do well but if we pick up any more injuries, we might be in trouble.
For the Porto game, I hope Klopp rests whoever he can. Give a start to Minamino and Jota, Tsimikas, Konate for Van Dijk and TBH, I’d even start Kelleher for the experience.
My worry is that Klopp won’t do this, as he likes to play his strongest team whenever he can. If I were to fault him, it’s that he doesn’t give the fringe players a chance, even when you’re looking at a situation where you have got to rest players.
Maybe some of these lads will be rested/come in but I have a horrible feeling we’ll be near full strength and then someone will go off injured.

Breaking the habit of a lifetime and posting from the stadium at half time. We are really just going through the motions more interested in staying injury free. No problem with that but it’s not exactly exciting! William’s and Morton doing okay. Not so Minamino and Konate looking bit shaky as well

Not good for lads like yourself HH but in my mind, as someone who hasnt paid and made any effort to go see, I just want us to get through this with minimal wear and tear on our players. That is mas good as a win for me. Of course, to actually get one is also valuable, for the players mentality and the fans also.
They are secondary goals though and as Nine mentioned, it is a balancing act but in my opinion, I dont give a damn about respecting the competition (to a point). We’ve earned our right to take it easy. With the matches coming, Im glad that Klopp has rested some. I’d like to see him take Salah or Mane off soon though.
