Sounds more realistic Sean. Be a shame if he left the PL imo.

16th October 2021 at 9:15 pm #186663Salah is thought of as a comparison to a certain little Magician from the Twitter Feeds today. Imagine if the two were to meet 🙂 🙂 🙂

16th October 2021 at 9:21 pm #186665Anonymous350k! Well, Klopp’s statement after the match really shows how highly he values him. he didn’t mince words.
If we have to pay 350k or lose Salah, then fucking pay it. If other players come along thinking they can match or nearly match, tell them to do one. Well, Van Dijk should be close enough IMO.

16th October 2021 at 9:52 pm #186666Tight League. Would have been nice to finish Leading Tonight so slightly disappointed.
Big Threats re Chelsea and Man City, and in essence it is what it is.
I Truly Love for Title 20 and the club Never got the opportunity in flesh to present the long awaited 19 – so always have that feeling in my heart or hearts.
Lets keep on going.

18th October 2021 at 8:01 am #186762I’m just enjoying watching us play again nil mate. Last season wasn’t us. It was just terrible at times
Now this is the liveroool we know. Porto away was excellent. They drew with athletico away so are not a bad side. Sometimes we make teams look bad.
Injuries are the concern. Neville was saying the other day he thinks it’s between Chelsea and city as we don’t have the squad to deal with injuries. It’s a fair point.
City and Chelsea look very strong. I still wouldn’t write utd off. They have a fantastic squad.
We just need to keep going. Anfield is rocking and we are playing some great stuff. It’s being a great start to the season all round. Some brilliant games in the pl with cracking atmospheres. I’ve really enjoyed the season so far. Football needs packed stadiums. It’s been great

18th October 2021 at 9:42 am #186764AnonymousSean, they didn’t think we had the squad just before we won it either. I mean, we could definitely do with 1-2 top signings but who couldn’t. I also wouldnt write off Utd but I’d have them maybe with the same odds as Spurs. They need a new manager and fast.

18th October 2021 at 10:18 am #186765Utd will stick with ole mak. He won’t be sacked anytime soon.
Ye I know that but Chelsea and city are stronger then they were two years ago.
As I said mate, I’m enjoying watching us play again. Some fantastic football.
Bigger tests to come so let’s see. Sunday is huge. We don’t normally turn up at old tarford. 75k there Sunday. We won last season with no crowd but Sunday be much different
Utd will sit in and it will suit them. Form goes out the window but if we play like we can, we will win .

18th October 2021 at 10:53 am #186766Sean, I know what you mean mate. Sometimes it’s difficult to get time off from work to watch Liverpool on TV so yeah, make the most of it.
Last season was freaky yet will still manage to finish 3rd. It’s injuries we have to be conscious of and using our players wisely, making sure they’re given time to recoup.
Salah looks lean and is running 100 miles an hour – super fit and sharp.
We’re playing tomorrow and United is on Sunday so plenty of time to rest. Hopefully, we get a result at Athletico and come away with no injuries. I hope we start with Firmino on Sunday – possibly Keita, Fabinho and Henderson as our midfield 3.
Man City have experience and are very strong. Chelsea look solid so I think they will be our main rivals for honours this season.

18th October 2021 at 6:55 pm #186775If Salah does not get a hat trick against Utd defence it would be seen as a failure by some!!!!! Great player, would not like to see him play for another team in Europe and Liver[pool find a way of keeping him

18th October 2021 at 9:03 pm #186780AnonymousBrian, I’d be happy to see him score in a 1-0 win. Utd always raise their game for us. Ever since Fergie left anyway.

18th October 2021 at 9:13 pm #186781AnonymousSuarez is the most skillful/flair player to ever play for us (in my time as a fan). Salah is the best forward we’ve had though. There’s more to being the best forward and Salah has been consistently amazing for a long long time here. His reading of where to be is unmatched and it makes up for the things that Suarez had over him. I will say that it’s close though. You’ve got to remember how tenacious Suarez was. I would say that he was as good a goal scorer as anyone on the planet, including Messi and Ronaldo. He was never the entire focal point of a Galactico type side like they were and he still did very well.
Salah though, I think finally pips Suarez, in my eyes. I loved Fowler but he’s not on this level. He could have been if he had more discipline and motivation. Owen … does it need to be said? Just no.

20th October 2021 at 9:12 am #186866Sean, completely agree mate via the other thread.
You only have to look at Simone. He sets a precedent. Why did their players get away with fouls? I know exactly what you mean. They’ve been our nemesis. There are a few teams in recent years like this with us.
And for the injustice we suffered 2018 with Salah, I’ll take any decision that comes our way. Huge 3 points.

20th October 2021 at 9:42 am #186868At times with the type of opposition we face, I don’t feel we’re maximizing or utilizing enough the depth of our squad.
I know Tiago is injured, but when we’re looking for reinforcements, we need to put faith and trust back into for example Joe Gomez. He honestly did really well when he came on. He was disciplined. What is happening with Konate? We need to start integrating him – just don’t get it.
Ox is out of form, not really sure about him at the mo – at best a ‘B’ grade player. I’d like Taki back in. Maybe we’ll see some of these guys in the Carabao Cup. Nico also put in some good minutes last night when he came on. We can’t always live off Henderson and Milner and expect them to play the full 90 mins. Hope JK recognizes and appreciates this.

24th October 2021 at 7:53 pm #187247Where’s Hightown? Hope he’s well and good. Not seen him post on here for quite some time.
Mak, new injuries mate at the expense of this fantastic victory. Keita was instrument and the glue of protection for our defense and attack.
Konate: what did you make of him? I thought he looked really relaxed and just did his job. Very well too.
2 less difficult matches for us to face going forward.
Enjoy the Win and the evening 🙂

25th October 2021 at 3:32 am #187269AnonymousYa Nil, I was really pleased with both Konate and Keita. The win was fantastic, I just watched all the post match stuff from the various channels, on Youtube. Sky’s panel really is weak these days with Carra and Neville (IMO). Would have loved to have seen what Keane had to say on it though. Neville’s “backing” of Ole is getting so tiresome. Great win though for us, hope we don’t lose Keita for long. Milner will be out a while though.
As for Hightown, I think he was getting tired of the forum-based stuff? I forget but ya, let’s hope he pops in along with Aussie. who we also haven’t seen for a while now.

25th October 2021 at 1:08 pm #187295Injury problems now to deal with. I’m sure who we go with for the Preston game this Wednesday but we need to get through and hopefully put ourselves in the hat for the quarters.
Kellecher injured. Does that mean Klopp would play Adrian? Our regular starters effectively can rest and prepare ourselves for the Brighton game at home.

25th October 2021 at 2:51 pm #187303AnonymousKelleher is injured again? He’s prone isn’t he. Ya it will mean Adrian. I hope Klopp rests the vast majority of the first team. As nice as it would be to get through, it’ll be far more important to keep the first team fit, as the injuries are landing.
