25th November 2019 at 12:33 pm #54211Why would you say that Player of the year “has to be Van Dijk”? Liverpool have kept 2 clean sheets in 13 Premier League games.

25th November 2019 at 12:45 pm #54213based on things so far it has to be Mane for me

I didn’t predict VVD to win the PFA award. it was Makaveli i think who brought that into the debate. i predicted Mane to make a clean swoop on both awards. i share Steveo sentiments. there is no player that has been more important to club like Mane has been to Liverpool.

25th November 2019 at 1:48 pm #54240One of the main reason if not the main reason Liverpool are where they are today though is because of VVD.

25th November 2019 at 1:54 pm #54246Those boys at Stockley park will deserve their winners medals if Liverpool manage the title. #LiVARpool
Mane has been the more influential this season so far.

25th November 2019 at 2:22 pm #54252Even united fans are asking why Ole selects a player like Jones, look how good their youngsters performed. Williams,Tuanzebe,MCT,Greenwood,Garner and obviously Rashford are our future. In fact,McTominay is missed more than Matic,Fred & Instagramvirus =combined.Matic cost just over £40m,Fred cost £52m,and Pogba cost £89m,whereas MCT is from our own youth system.Williams is keeping the lardy arse who cost £36m[Shaw] and the utterly useless actor pretending to be a footballer in Young, who cost £17m,out of the team.Greenwood right now is much better than the £56m costing French sulking twat Martial, and Garner is 10x the players Mata & Andy are!

In one way, you are right. as VVD has given Liverpool a big lift when he has joined them. but if you look at the important role that Mane is playing this season. you would say, his contribution is closer to 50%. Liverpool is conceding all goals, but they are also scoring goals.

25th November 2019 at 5:05 pm #54273Chelsea man, interesting predictions, and I very much hope you win your money! There are a couple I’d take issue with, however. I really don’t think sheffield United will make the Europa League places, though it’d be great if they did. I think they’ll hit the buffers soon, but what a season so far! Also can’t see United winning the Europa. They really are a poor side and when the teams drop out of the Champions League, they will be found out big time! Mason Mount for YP of the year? Good shout and a possibility, but if Liverpool do win the league, my guess is that Trent would get it. Agree with your relegation choices, but not your Manager of the year. Again, if Liverpool win the league, it’ll be Klopp, though Rodgers has done an amazing job.
And Leeds and WBA to be promoted!

I have to say, if Mount scores and assists a few goals from now and becomes injury free. i think the award could be his to lose. the award mostly goes to the attacking players, although VVD and JT were exception to the rule. they measure goals first then assist then other stuff.
On the Brendan Klopp one, i fully expect Brendan to win it. because having lost his best CB, and no one fancied them. with that smallest budgets, he has adapted well and should they get a CL football. credit will go to him. and i expect him to win.
As for the United one. you can’t measure teams on the premier league performance. United have now prioritized the Europa league. and i expect them to win. who ever drops down won’t deter them. mark those words in your calendar.
