Adlab , yeah I heard that on Talksport this morning. The first Cup Final to include VAR. Let’s hope it behaves itself and there are no squiggly lines to confuse everyone.

Ultimately I think VAR will be a benefit to the game we all love once it overcomes it’s teething problems.

Jim. He should play his strongest team imo. No room for sentiment but lets hope he has his best game ever and makes a save. Objectively I dont think he fills the defenders with confidence. A major problem last season.

Do you think Pep will wear his yellow ribbon on Sunday, he’s  apparently been warned twice about it by the FA, and now they have charged him. It’s all a bit petty but it is a political emblem, but petty is what the FA do best…Pagan

I don’t know if he will stop Pagan. If i were him i would stop wearing it at work. It’s now done it’s job he has raised the profile of the Catalan political prisoners held in Spain. I can see why the FA and the other governing bodies dont want political emblems in football. IMO we don’t want or need to polititicise sport regardless of how small and emblem.

What I would like to see is every fan wearing a yellow ribbon.

Is this so different from rainbow laces? The poppy? Black arm bands etc.

There is no ACTUAL message attached to the ribbon. A yellow ribbon concept has been going for ages. “Tie a yellow ribbon….”

Having Taylor as a ref. Thats OK though.

I see your point but, but I think it’s slightly different from the causes you list Adlab as its showing direct political support for a political movement. The poppies and black armbands are in remembrance and the rainbow laces are for equality.  Personally if they saw nothing wrong with Pep wearing a yellow ribbon then if Pardew wanted to turn up in a Teresa May T-shirt they couldn’t really do anything.
