19th January 2018 at 6:37 pm #13066Itโs like 2 threads in one this. Sorry Iโve not been posting for last week or so been away with work.
On the title debate, think a few are getting carried away with last Sunday, Sky for one….. think we will win our next 3 league games reasonably easily and see where the rest are after that.
On the posters debate think we have all seen some real tools on the years, I posted on TT for over 10 years but never had any good chat or solid debate with fans from other clubs.

19th January 2018 at 8:36 pm #13082I’ve had 10 years of Teamtalk, and my biggest regret is going back to Teamtalk, as Liverpool have only ever one 1 Trophy since 2006 in 2012, and if feels as though largely, I’ve wasted an avenue trying to give it my all.
Goatistuta, for me, it’s been about trying to find solace and common ground and at best for 10 years, I’ve had 3%. That’s because I fell at the hands of rival clubs, but found something decent in Individual Club Forums, something in which they stripped away and I’m talking about clubs outside the Premier League.
The Best Editor long gone looking back was just sheer Sparkling Presence. He has his own life now and rightly so and we won’t get him back, but would love to share a conversation and a Pint.

19th January 2018 at 9:06 pm #13085Goats, just to strongly reemphasize from my point of view in experience, a suffering from a big lacking of common ground.

19th January 2018 at 9:15 pm #13086AnonymousNil, football is the common ground mate. Unfortunately it can get very tribal at times!

19th January 2018 at 9:27 pm #13088Alfie, haha, thankyou mate. I’ve genuinely met good people out of this one being yourself.
Plus others on here that I recognise as caring.
Wouldn’t it be good if we all had one common ground?
DirtyHarry, wonderful to see you transfer on here, genuinely remember enjoying a good Political Debate with yourself. It’s a lift and a reminder to why I am here. Thanking you X

20th January 2018 at 11:56 am #13120Fans, forum member from whatever site all should accept responsibity for trying to regain a fan culture we had years ago. I can not understand why fans do not want to stand /sit side by side in peace, at a football match and watch 22 players with equal measure. It does not mean you do not support your team The game has gone tribal and if it continues it will strangle itself Another side affect is the cost of poiicing…if fans behaved there would be no need for police, a huge saveing for some clubs. The question then to be asked , the fans who complain about match costs , are they the ones that are increasing the costs? I believe the majority of fans would like a better environment but it is up to them as well, the disruptive element should not be let in and banned from football grounds The media could play a useful part in this as well I know I am dreaming with this scenario and the reality is, it will be hard to change the current trend

20th January 2018 at 12:03 pm #13121Brian, Cricket and rugby donโt have a problem, the atmosphere at T20 matches is fantastic, fans of both sides sitting side by side, having a few beers, exchanging banter.
Unfortunately we wonโt get that in football because the tribalism is accepted and encouraged….Pagan

20th January 2018 at 12:07 pm #13122Brian,
I can’t speak for others, but in my experience (which isn’t a great deal when it comes to being away from the armchair) attending actual grounds breeds a greater deal of satisfaction.
Everyone’s different and I get that, but for me, to gain a plethora of thoughts from the same supporting team is trying to gain common ground. I’ve never been one to holdback as I’ve grown older, and have been exactly the same stood in the stands.
Opposition fans usually give out the bluster, but overall it’s usually in good spirits and there’s no malice.
This can’t be said for all teams though and maybe this stems from rivalry and teams segmented in each of their own geographical locations (e.g. your London clubs). There’s always going to be hostility accustomed to certain fixtures when paired and this is inevitable.

20th January 2018 at 1:33 pm #13124NB, you confuse me, one post you want individual forums for teams where only supporters of that team can post as you feel you get stick off fans of other teams, then youโre up for in unsegregated seating, they seem quite opposing views….Pagan

20th January 2018 at 3:33 pm #13134Pagan, I’m actually confused now too lol ๐
I think I was trying to respond to Brian’s point on the huge level of tribalism coming out of forums in which I try to respond that to some degree, there is much more of a better experience actually watching the game live and mingling with actual human beings than cyber space.

20th January 2018 at 3:40 pm #13135Youโre right there NB, I go to games when I can, any game really, but itโs usually at short notice when grass roots footy is off. Would like to have gone to Leeds today with the Millwall lads I know, but itโs sold out.
To be honest I prefer the atmosphere at T20 where all the fans sit together having a beer, great nights out, if you get a chance to go, go, youโll enjoy it…Pagan

20th January 2018 at 3:52 pm #13136Pagan, I must be a serial jinx at the mo mate, as I put Leeds in my acca today and guess what: Leeds are 2-0 down to Millwall with a man sent off. There goes potentially another weekend bet out of the window and 4th week on the trot.
