7th November 2017 at 11:04 pm #7359Iβm not for this βthe title is won alreadyβ rubbish, lonnnnnnnnng way to go yet but 8 points this early is incredible. Given the teams in this league itβs quite amazing how far ahead we are already. We have 4 very very winnable games before united away and if we somehow win them and others draw or lose we could be 10 points clear going to the swamp with over a 3rd of the season played. Iβll get giddy IF we get to crimbo unbeaten or over 10 points clear because if we do it would be over half way. Stranger things have happened

9th November 2017 at 12:00 am #739244 for me, was 5 when I went first game, so my dad told me. Itβs my 30th year of being a season ticket holder so Iβve also seen it all mate. The lows and there were way too many of them but these highs of the last decade have been just unreal. Iβve never witnessed football like Iβm watching this year at City and without getting too giddy Iβve not seen much better ever in PL history than this team. KTF

9th November 2017 at 5:14 am #7396I myself am a Chelsea supporter but its a real looking forward to situation when City is due to play, ironically I even find myself willing them on except of course against Chelsea and only because I dont believe we meaning Chelsea have much chance of winning it this season, hoping to at least qualify for the CL which is also very difficult with Liverpool and Arsenal breathing down our necks and the the current top 3 maybe already certain to qualify.

9th November 2017 at 8:02 am #7398TBH nine I think youβve had your blip, those early losses where strange and unlucky in some cases but Iβve got you guys down for 2nd and Iβm kinda comfortable with that. Iβve placed bets b4 a ball was kicked with the below order and Iβm looking good at the moment
City
Chelsea
Spuds

10th November 2017 at 2:41 pm #7409If the title is already decided by some, what is the point in going to a match? The media and Bookies want to talk City “up” so they can have a fall, fortunately we have a Management with feet on the ground, as are many City supporters. I have respect for all the clubs in the Premier, no easy games and for me, with 80 points still to play for, wide open, it is just we have a little breathing space, yes we will loose some matches but it also means, by the same logic, other teams will loose as well. No guarantees for anybody

10th November 2017 at 2:57 pm #7410Brian, the PL title odds are generated by results and the money invested by punters it’s got absolutely nothing to do with the Bookies talking City up.

11th November 2017 at 10:13 pm #7429I know itβs lovely to see and read as a blue BUT odds on and that high after 11 games, deary me. Too many solid teams to say that right now, wayyyyyy too early.

13th November 2017 at 8:25 pm #7432Nine..you may well be right in the first part “generated by results” but I never knew a willing “investor” to make the bookie money? Investor to me means…you bet, the bookie win and you loose…that is the reality do you not think?

14th November 2017 at 1:24 pm #7440Brian blue-Exactly mate, even if City end up dropping points and losing games, other teams-the chasing pack, will drop points too and lose games,City have a very healthy cushion!.Add to tat that the chasing pack maybe bar Spurs, always seem to be a game away from a defeat, whereas City seem to be flying!.

14th November 2017 at 1:31 pm #7442Brian, the odds reflect City’s form and the amount of money wagered on them if City went through a bit of a dodgy spell then the odds on City winning the title would move around.
I get why you City lads want to play the odds down but they are what they are fellas and the longer City maintain their current form the more City’s odds will harden albeit that 1/7 on are pretty hardened odds already.

14th November 2017 at 4:26 pm #7445Nine…I understand what you are saying but “ODDS” up or down do not reflect reality, why, because they change as you describe and they are just a tool to attract punters money. There is always the impression that the “ODDS” are right this in turn, tempts the punter. I have to admit to you though I am not a betting man as you will gather and I have seen what betting culture does to families, then they call it an addicition when its out of control and families do suffer. In this day and age, you have to ask the question, what % of your disposable income is spent on an betting each week. Like smoking, it is better not to start Sorry for the sermon it is just something I feel sad about for the families and there are plenty of them

14th November 2017 at 8:41 pm #7463Brian, tbh mate I’m not a betting man either and I can’t think 1/7 on for City will attract too many anyway.?
The best bet currently looks like Chelsea @ 20/1 at the end of October last season after 10 games they were on 22 points and lying 4th and this season after 11 games they are on 22 points and lying 4th.? Cheers 999

14th November 2017 at 11:55 pm #7502I think itβs pretty widely accepted this is a 1 horse race, c$ty are already a fair way ahead & have by far the best squad. I predicted very early on it would be between them & manu but there is daylight between them & the rest. The only interesting battle will be the other 3 C/L spots & what order.
