To try and steer the thread back on track the point I’m making is that transfers and improving the team is a lot more complicated than most think. You cant just expect a top play sign to be back up. It’s difficult to realistically improve for liverpool. For Arsenal, I think it’s ok to say they have a few areas to improve to catch liverpool and city. So a player like Pepe will move knowing he will be first choice.
Now they just need to improve that soft centre they have! To be honest I thought that should of been priority this summer.

9-Even for Maguire & Bissaka,the selling clubs initial demands were too high compared to what United were prepared to pay.Palace demanded Β£75m for AWB,United went in with Β£40m-the deal was done @ Β£55m+ bonuses.Same with HM,Lesta were once demanding Β£100m,United offered Β£60m-the compromise was achieved @ Β£75m+Β£8m in add ons.

Mav, no matter how you cut it mate Arsenal had a restricted budget circa Β£45m which they cleverly stretched with loan deals, buy now pay later deals and bargain basement deals the budget wasn’t a Centre Back for Β£55m let alone Β£90m and that’s why they scrambled around at the last minute to buy Luiz for Β£8m which gives them a bit of breathing space and a chance to put some more pennies in the piggy back.

Threeps, it is relevant. Kdb is cities best player. He was out yet they had top players to replace him with.
Iβm comparing him to us losing one of our best players for a longtime I.e Salah/mane
No problem with the replacement for Mignolet. Adrian is a better keeper in my opinion
My point was city have a better squad and itβs very valid. We went out of the two domestic cups because our backup players werenβt good enough.
The team we had our againest wolves in the fa Cup had a 16 yr old in it making his debut.
We have a very good squad but cities is better in my opinion

threeps always makes good points mate and adds a lot to the site imo.
Threads often move around nothing wrong with that as I said I was just joshing.
City obviously have the best squad I try not to comment too much on Liverpool these days but the Liverpool starting eleven was very difficult to improve in the Summer though keeping them all fit across 60 games and 4 completions plus the World Club Championship will be a tough task and injuries to a couple of key players can disrupt a season.
If there’s one thing City have on Liverpool it’s that they can more easily rotate the squad and cope with injuries better. Two great teams though.
