Jose is clearly not a happy chappie with United’s transfer window business and I suspect he’s attempting to send a message to Woodward. I’m sure though United will do some more business between now and the 9/08.
He’s lost the plot a bit re the non availability of players following the World Cup its not like he’s the only one suffering with this he should check the Chelsea squad that went to Oz with all of Hazard, Michy, Courtois, Kante, Giroud, RLC, Cahill and Willian not returning until the end of this month.
Worryingly we’ve seen this before with Jose and it’s never ended well???

25th July 2018 at 2:40 pm #244283×9-The only way to do things now in world football its Chelsea way, sack the managers early.Mourinho is finished @ the top,his time has been and gone! He know he is not going to win the title so is getting his excuses in early.

25th July 2018 at 5:51 pm #24431United were a massive Ship to turnaround mate after Fergie. And it’s proving a tough task.

25th July 2018 at 6:15 pm #24432I hope that when Jose has his season 3 meltdown, which looks like its on its way, that United stand by him and don’t show him the door
give him as much time (and rope) as is needed. π

26th July 2018 at 1:33 pm #24446Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho say the pressure is on Liverpool to win the title.
I think if you have the money, if you invest well, it’s better than to have it in the bank, because the interest rates are very low,β said Mourinho after his side beat AC Milan on penalties in the International Champions Cup last night.
Jurgen Klopp has spent Β£175m on signings this summer (Image: GETTY)
Maybe this season, finally you demand that they win.βThe problem is you have to invest well and, honestly, I think they did very well, because every player they bought are quality players and I’m happy for them.
βI’m also happy to smile and to see that, you know, you can change your opinion and change as a person – it’s funny. But that’s okay.
βBut maybe this season, finally you demand that they win.
βYou, I think, have to be fair and now you have to demand and say the team with investments you are making last season, that you made in January, that you make now, that will probably be the record of the Premier League this season, a team that was a finalist in the Champions League, you have to say you are a big candidate and you have to win.β
Don’t you just love him!?

26th July 2018 at 2:00 pm #24447Anonymousas much as i dislike him, i dont think hes wrong. liverpool have spent a huge amount of money so far and if you believe the reports, they could be spending a lot more as well. this is now klopp’s squad and he has put it together at huge expense. whenever united, city or chelsea spend this amount of money there is huge pressure on them to win things and even then their achievements are played down because it only happened due to the money spent.

26th July 2018 at 2:56 pm #24448How much has he spent at United since he’s been there? More than Klopp I wouldn’t mind betting?

26th July 2018 at 2:56 pm #24449AnonymousPaxton, Liverpool are done spending this window, trust me. As for Jose, this is just the usual pattern. He’s going to get himself fired from this job to walk away with half a contract worth of pay. There will be no shortage of clubs looking to sign the insane toss-pot up for another long-term deal and he’ll rinse repeat.

26th July 2018 at 3:08 pm #24450Hate to admit it, but I’m with Maureen on this one. Kloopster has to get “Best of the Rest” as an absolute minimum with all the money he spent. And with Money City 1st, that leaves Maureen with hopes of 3rd… with all the London lads fighting for 4thonwards..

26th July 2018 at 3:14 pm #24451Anonymousi dont doubt that this is part of jose’s path to destruction but at the same time i dont disagree with what hes said. if city and united go on to spend 170-200m there will be immense pressure on them to win everything (there is anyway without spending that money) and they will be heavily scrutinised along the way and i would expect liverpool will be as well.

26th July 2018 at 4:29 pm #24455Still 2-3 players away from a sustained title challenge but nice to be spending – even though itβs only the coutinho money plus the usual Β£50m summer budget. With a clearout to come.

26th July 2018 at 5:21 pm #24458Since 2016
Utd have a net spend of 289m
We have 167m so we are playing catch up
We have had to sell our top players for years now.
Letβs see how much we bring in this summerAgree with pax, 4th is not good enough now but no one will catch city
Think itβs far to early to write utd off.
They pays 65m for Maguire and that brings them up 135m
Letβs wait and see

26th July 2018 at 6:29 pm #24463Sean, I agree still tough to catch City. Squad wise Liverpool still look light v City but if Liverpool are lucky with injuries you never know.
I think Jose has a point though given the money spent since January on new players Liverpool should be challenging for the title and Klopp does need to win some silverware but you’re not familiar away now.
