27th January 2018 at 5:29 pm #13887My mate still has an unused ticket for that knebworth concert, his mum found out he intended going and stopped him. Lol.
Best band I have have seen live was probably Oasis at Maine Road. Had my arm in plaster after a bike accident. And wife expecting our first any day so I turned down an invite to go to the after gig party. Seemed like a good idea at the time Doh. Seen Sabbath, Ozzy, ACDC, Preachers, Maiden, all many times. Saw purple last autumn felt very young in the audience. Lol_____________________________

27th January 2018 at 5:31 pm #13888Gents, Ladies, as Iโve said before, I was lucky when it came music, I have an older brother that let me tag along to gigs, a mate at school had a lodger who was the entertainment secretary at the local uni, a relative who worked at a venue, and a friends auntie (well uncles girlfriend) that worked for Edwin Shirley Trucking, so tickets were relatively easy to get hold of.
Love music, mainly rock, love lyrics, hence I quite often quote them, sorry if my fortunate past irks anyone…Pagan

27th January 2018 at 5:37 pm #13889Pagan, it’s more and more challenging for the industry when there’s streaming mediums like Spotify and the online domains advertising tickets for ridiculous prices.
I don’t know how a High Street Retailer like HMV is still in business.

27th January 2018 at 5:44 pm #13891NB, it was a different pre internet, well even pre cd, bands made money from records, and toured, sometimes at a loss to promote their records, so concerts were plentiful and cheap. Now they make considerably less money from their recordings and ridiculous amounts from touring and merchandise, wouldnโt swap my time seeing bands for any other, I will though say being young I probably didnโt appreciate how lucky I was at the time…Pagan

27th January 2018 at 5:54 pm #13892I’ve been to Iron Maiden twice, AC/DC and Entombed once each. Great bands! And in less than two weeks I’ll see Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys. Looking forward to it!
Other than that it’s mainly smaller bands that I’m pretty sure not many people outside of Denmark ever heard of.

27th January 2018 at 5:59 pm #13894AnonymousJim – he did have to enter his credit card details. He said he thought it was a one off payment, and when asked why it was on his credit card bill each month for eight years he said he was too rich to open his credit card bill so would not have known.
He was as guilty as they come, but the CPS thought they couldnโt get a conviction so wouldnโt prosecute.

27th January 2018 at 6:04 pm #13895Alfie, stuff like that is just plain wrong. What anoys me nearly as much is the way he was just seemingly accepted back by the media and his music mates.

27th January 2018 at 6:22 pm #13897Oasis, sadly missed them would loved too have seen them live. Still not impossible I guess but currently Liam and Noel can’t even stand to be within 5 mile’s of each other so I guess it’s unlikely.

27th January 2018 at 6:39 pm #13899I like Liam going solo and Noel to be fair too is doing his own thing. Both are relaxed about Oasis songs still sung. I would love for them to reform, Nine. This current generation into Indie/Rock-n-Roll unfortunately really are missing out.

27th January 2018 at 7:09 pm #139039, Noel and Liam back on good terms, so a stadium show could be on if city with the league.
Maiden, first saw them at the boat club in Notts, dc, saw them twice in 80, first time with Bon and Def Lep supported, the second with Brian singing, Starfighters supported them then, the Youngโs cousin was in that band, he replaced Malcom on the last tour. Seen them a few times since but those two are memorable.
So whatโs everyoneโs best gig and why? so many reasons why a show can stand out….Pagan

28th January 2018 at 12:12 am #13960There’s truth in the point of matter of Regretting things that you haven’t done than the latter.
Oasis I missed out on.
I don’t like the fall out anymore than Million others, however, with Liam going solo and relaying the brickwork fills me with sincere optimism and JOY ๐ ๐
