The gossip, and not a bad choice, seems to indicate Blanc is forerunner to take over until the end of the season, not the worst idea if I’m to be honest.
Then I guess the rest of us have to suffer with a million fish-wrappings about Poncho or Le Headbutt next summer. Can’t really see any other options to be honest. Be quite surprised if it wasn’t one of them by the time next August rolls around.

I think United wanted to take it to the end of the season but it became impossible. I don’t think he was ever really the right fit for United and he never immersed himself in Manchester in living out of a Hotel.
Personally I don’t like to see anyone lose their job even though Jose has bought some of it on himself but he will be well looked after and despite all the vitriol against him will pop up somewhere else and win yet more trophies although that might be out of the PL now.
It’s what happens next which is now important for the United fans seemingly an interim appointment possibly Blanc with a permanent appointment held up until the Summer.
I do think that United’s problems go higher and deeper than just Jose though and they will need addressing too.

It was obvious to anyone who loves the game that Jose was a bad fit, from the start. I can only say “about time” and also that now you need to get that Woodward clown out too or you’re risking another cycle. I’m glad that it was us who got to put the boot in, although I see that this is the 3rd time that Klopp has gotten Jose fired (been the last straw). We owed him for the way he riled up the crowd at Anfield in 2014.
Watch those players now. They’ll be like new signings.

That’s my point Chucky. I think we’re one of very few clubs who would still be talked about if we plummeted down into the Conference. The day we’re no longer cared about is the only day I’ll worry about us ?

A part of Jose’s problem was the type of attacking football City play. It was continually chucked at him. Utd and fans just couldnt stomach it.

Adlab – Happy or sad Alfie? – I’m nonplussed tbh. Can’t see what is achieved by seeing off the third manager that some of these players would be seeing off, but the quality between us and Liverpool was obvious on Sunday and that was an embarrassment. On teh other hand I don’t think Mourinho is telling players to step on the ball or mis-place passes.
We need players, but whether or not the club give an interim manager any funds to spend in January will be debatable.
I think there is a lot of people at the club who are not pulling their weight, and I am not sure a change of manager will solve that. We need to go back to last season and then take a step up. It’s getting that step up which will be the problem – especially if the majority of the players stay. And getting rid of players is Ed’s job and he just hasn’t done that.
If you look at Pep and the number of players City have moved on since he came in and compare that to Utd I would be amazed if they haven’t moved on twice as many players as Jose.
