I wonder if there’s going to be any “oh, didn’t see that happening” moments today with regards to transfers? I reckon us Spuds have had a decent transfer window so far, a proper out and out striker would most certainly be welcome too…

Frank confirms in his pre match press conference there will be no ins and no outs at Chelsea.

I’m not surprised it was always going to be a very difficult market to get anything like the players we would have wanted and it’s pointless just buying players for the sake of it.

Best we kept our powder dry and plan for the Summer window though not being able to strengthen in January may well cost us 4th place.

Mav, actually I think Ings would be a useful signing but Southampton aren’t going to sell their best goalscorer when they can’t replace him.

I always said that Ings would be an excellent PL striker. The thing is, this isn’t even his peak. The guy has a lot more technical ability and game sense than people give him credit for. I was unhappy that we sold him but I understand that he needed minutes and he just wouldn’t fit into Klopp’s side, in a first 11 basis anyway.

I’m delighted for him though and I wouldn’t begrudge him if he wanted to move to Utd. He will eventually end up playing for a top side but if I’m being honest, I think he’d suit Chelsea more. Now, that’s a kinda obvious statement, given that Chelsea are vastly more creative than Utd.
