30th January 2018 at 5:50 pm #14176Giroud is a very good player mate
Caused us all kinds of problems for years. He lacks pace but has everything else. Very good backup option

30th January 2018 at 5:57 pm #14177Mav, Lol!?
Sean, given all the circumstances Giroud at Β£18m sounds like a good deal to me too. Not signed yet though.
Circa Β£60m bid for Mahrez from City probably won’t get him seemingly Leicester want quite a bit more? But circa Β£60m for Laporte and now the bid for Mahrez suggests that City might be getting ready for FFP2?

30th January 2018 at 6:10 pm #14180Giroud is a much better option than Carroll or Crouch and I think will be a decent backup option when Morata is unavailable or not on form. On recent form, I wonder if Giroud may even keep Morata out of the side.
Mahrez is a funny one. Surely, even City can’t afford to pay Β£60mil for someone who will warm the bench when everyone is fit. I don’t believe they’ll go that high to be honest.

30th January 2018 at 6:12 pm #14181999-If Roman sells Hazard to City, the rest of us might as well pack our bags and go on a siesta for the next few years, lol
Wasplicker-Giroud is well, well, well past his best,he never was more than a average player.Arsenal will be laughing all the way to the bank if they sold him!_____________________________

30th January 2018 at 6:21 pm #14183As a Spud-lover, have to say there isn’t a lot of fizz in my beans about this Moura chap. I mean, “only” (cough) 25 million and we aren’t exactly beating the competition with a stick. Can he really be all that?
Mind you, don’t watch the French League, so never seen him play…and the last few lads from France didn’t exactly cut the mustard, any of them.

30th January 2018 at 6:25 pm #14186Giroud is a snip at Β£18m. Seems to always come up with important goals. Surprised Wenger wants to let him go if I’m honest.

30th January 2018 at 6:44 pm #14191Jim-Giroud is one of them players one should pay them to leave, let alone pay any money for them! Arsenal and AW will be laughing all the way to the bank, cannot believe a team is willing to pay Β£18m for a 31 year old.But the football world went mad long time ago!

30th January 2018 at 8:15 pm #14210Mav, there’s more chance of Roman becoming Foreign Secretary instead of Boris than there is of Roman selling Hazard to City.?

31st January 2018 at 6:54 am #14234AnonymousThis made me chuckle this morning – and this is when Peps spending is βconstrained due to budgetsβ:
After signing French defender Aymeric Laporte from Athletic Bilbao, Manchester City’s ‘annual defence spending’ has exceeded the actual annual military defence budgets of 52 countries. (i News)
