Sean, Giroud to Chelsea at a reasonable fee does sound like it might be on.

Arsenal have agreed a fee for Aubameyang circa £60m an Arsenal record but Dortmund wont agree it until they get a replacement in on loan and seemingly they want Michy who Chelsea won’t release unless they seemingly get a replacement in ie Giroud??? Cheers 9

I think i’m not comfortable with this Grioud rumours 999. if Conte wants i will be happy to support him. but i suspect Conte has nothing to do with this deal. and by the way why is the club not listening Conte’s plea of wanting to retain Batshuayi? something is a mess from somewhere. anyway if he completes and becomes a Chelsea player tomorrow. he will have my undivided loyalty and support. but i think this is not a deal that i’m very keen to see happen.

for me, giroud is the most under rated player in the league. think chelsea would do well to get him in.

Giroud is decent enough, and can score a decent amount of goals, but if he hasn’t played for Arsenal much this season he is not a step up from anything Chelsea already have. Seems he will be used as a target man, which is against what some of the Chelsea players want.

He is not a like for like with Morata in anyway, so will be used primarily from the bench or will require the build up play to change to suit his strengths.

Michy Batshuayi scores a couple of goals in a rare start and has dropped down the pecking order as a result. He should be given more faith imo.

CMan, let’s see what happens personally I think Giroud is a decent short term signing providing we don’t pay too much. Actually Contes choice according to his quotes was to have 3 strikers but he suggested Michy wanted regular football in order to seal a place in the Belgium World Cup squad.

Mav, I’m not sure you’re right mate Michy can score a goal primarily against week opposition but the rest of his play is generally poor. Giroud would be a good short term decision for Chelsea imo providing he comes at a reasonable price. Having said all that I wouldn’t be against keeping our powder dry until the Summer especially given the uncertainty over Conte.

Giroud for 18m is an excellent signing.

Very good player and aresnal fans I know rate him very highly

Gives it his all and scores crucial goals especially lates ones.
