22nd January 2018 at 1:03 pm #13417Dzeko’s cost amplifies the shortage of decent strikers – the good younger ones the clubs refuse to let go understandably

22nd January 2018 at 1:48 pm #13419So we are looking Ashley Barnes from Burnley? and we want a target man to bring the likes of Hazard and co in to the game? are we serious or is the media taking us for a ride? that guy and a target man? something isn’t adding up there.

22nd January 2018 at 1:54 pm #13421Chelseaman, we’ve signed 12 forwards since Friday according to rumours.?
A double deal for Dzeko and Palameri if it can be done and it’s reasonably sensible money sounds good to me.Ray Livermore makes a good point though there’s a shortage of good strikers available which pushes the prices up.

22nd January 2018 at 3:32 pm #13436Surely instead of signing Dzeko for Β£30m,much better to add another Β£50m and go for Belotti?! He is soon to be 32.

22nd January 2018 at 4:35 pm #13441I don’t know why the club and Conte is desperate to go for Dzeko? i would only take him if the deal is a loan Aubameyang is my preferred choice if we are going to go for a striker. why do we need big target man? and we sold Costa to Athletico? i think we need someone who can score goals and Aubameyang fits that bill.

22nd January 2018 at 6:08 pm #13444Dzeko is a quality player, a real good target man. He just needs decent service, ie crosses into the box. He didn’t really get that at City, more often or not he got too many quick balls to his feet when he was then expected to turn, beat his man and shoot. Just like Aguero does but he’s a completely different player. The down side to Edin Dzeko is he left City under a bit of a cloud as him and Hart were bad influences in the dressing room. He’s also very lazy at times and can look disinterested in games at times. But he scored many important goals for City and I thought it was a shame we sold him.

22nd January 2018 at 6:30 pm #13445Fantastic news, City confirm the contract extension of the best midfielder in the Premiership for the next five years! Despite interest from the biggest club in the world Real Madrid and PSG and at the bargin price of 200k to 250k! Now that’s a deal! I cant imagine how any top class manager would not want KDB in their side.βΊ

22nd January 2018 at 7:41 pm #13455The day Kane moves to YouUtd will be the day I quit football, go into politics, become Prime Minister, and convince my secret lover who happens to be President Ivanka there’s a huge oil reserve underneath the huge noodle sponsored playing field so they bomb the shite out of it…

22nd January 2018 at 7:55 pm #13458PPT, might ‘pave the way’ for a Dybala bid. He would be the perfect successor to Sergio………eventually. Imagine him and Jesus up front – the interchanging would be mesmeric.

22nd January 2018 at 7:56 pm #13459Twenty years or so ago, footballers tried to justify their wages by using the βwe only have a short careerβ excuse, looking at the wages being banded about now, whatβs the current reasoning?
Obviously greedy money grabbing mercenary ………(whichever expletive you want) is the obvious one, is there another?

22nd January 2018 at 8:07 pm #13462How much would Dybala cost? I should imagine well over Β£80m or possibly Β£100m I just can’t see us spending that kind of money. The whole transfer thing has gone completely mad when Evans and Carrol are being rated as Β£20-30m players.
