Mav, we don’t know what’s going on in Jose’s head mate. I honestly do see the move as a Positive though; just for a moment take away the age and all the bureaucracy surrounding fees and wages.
Chin up mate 🙂

20th January 2018 at 8:22 pm #13167I hope the deal goes through this January then the little greedy $hit Sanchez will hopefully have the pleasure of clapping City onto the Etihad pitch as Champions in early April. I would really love that.

20th January 2018 at 8:39 pm #13172Jim, just out of interest would Sanchez still have been a greedy $hit if he had accepted City’s very generous offer??

20th January 2018 at 8:42 pm #13174And from the paupers corner.?
Reports coming out of Italy suggest a deal for Dzeko and Palmieri to Chelsea will be finalised on Tuesday?

20th January 2018 at 8:44 pm #13176One thing I do not get it is why did he turn down China,if money was his main objective?!

20th January 2018 at 8:50 pm #13180AnonymousBecause money wasn’t his main objective.
People forget that to join a club, that club must have a bid accepted. City have not made an acceptable bid to arsenal for Sanchez.
Despite people’s wishes, their club cannot cherry pick whoever they want, against the will of other clubs. The only team who had a bid accepted was Man Utd.

20th January 2018 at 8:51 pm #13181Nine I really am astonished that you can’t see the difference between sticking to the contract you agreed last summer and joining the best team in the country. Than then reneging on that deal and tarting your arse arround other clubs and moving to a team than are playing worse football and have significantly less chance of silverware for another 100 or 200k a week more or whatever it is. If you can’t see the difference then you have different morals than me my friend! Without doubt he his the biggest mercenary of all time. He represents the worst of all footballers. Can’t wait till we thrash them at the Etihad.

20th January 2018 at 8:53 pm #13183AnonymousI think you’ll find that nothing is guaranteed in football Jim. Next years title has not yet been handed out. You are not the only team gunning for it.

20th January 2018 at 8:59 pm #13188Mav because China is a really hard place to live for many Westerners. Disagree Alfie it’s not cherry picking like United did throughout the nineties it’s sticking to an agreement that you made. He could have said to Wenger I am want to move to City and Wenger would have had no choice to accept Cities bid but he tarted himself arround and has moved for more money. Perhaps he thought City would match the bid but rightly Pep called him out. So so hope he has to clap us on to the pitch as Champions! Its a tall order with six games left but doable the way we are playing.

20th January 2018 at 8:59 pm #13189AnonymousBBC are now calling it. A straight swap according to them. Great deal for us – wages aside (unless they aren’t as high as reported).

20th January 2018 at 9:01 pm #13190Jim, I have to admit it’s a strange one.
But didn’t also come down to City not bring prepared to pay Arsenal more than £20m for him whilst United were prepared to pay Arsenal £35m for Sanchez?

20th January 2018 at 9:02 pm #13192Next year very true but as long as Pep is manager at City I can’t see the negative football Mouriniho plays coming out on top. Chelsea and Liverpool will be challenging but I can’t see United.

20th January 2018 at 9:02 pm #13193Alfie, maybe Man C didn’t bid because of his excessive demands, I can’t see the transfer fee being a problem, I would suggest he tried to call their bluff and lost. The real question for me is does Jose want Sanchez for his footballing talent, or just to get one over on a Pep?
Maybe it’s a bit of both, but for the reported cost of the overall package, there’s better value for money out there…Pagan

20th January 2018 at 9:04 pm #13194AnonymousSticking to an agreement- I assume you’d expect City to do the same and offer arsenal the £60m that was on the table in August?
Or are City above sticking to an agreement?
Things have moved on since August Jim, he is worth less in a transfer fee, but that means he can get a better deal for himself.

20th January 2018 at 9:06 pm #13196Jurgen Klopp will have something to say haha. Come on the Redmen let’s get one trophy win under our belt as 1 League cup since 2006 is an insult in which we’ve been insulted, largely by Alex Ferguson; Lunn Polly: Get Away!
What an individual to mess up Liverpool throughout the 1990s.

20th January 2018 at 9:08 pm #13197AnonymousJim – I think you are being quite biased. Chelsea played far worse football than us and won the league.
Pagan – that’s it, City didn’t bid, so he can’t choose them. We didn’t bid in the summer, only City did – so he could only choose City in the summer. For people to think joining Utd is somewhat strange, is somewhat strange in itself and they should take a step back and think about what they are saying. Utd will be in for trophies, last year we won two, this year we could win one or two, next year who knows?

20th January 2018 at 9:12 pm #13199AnonymousAlso Pagan – we don’t know what the total fee is. Not an hour ago Mav said £35m, BBC say straight swap.
His wages go up every time I log on to the internet. Started at £300k and someone here said £577k. Just 30min ago it went back down to £350k.
Still crazy, but far less than yesterday!

20th January 2018 at 9:21 pm #13201Alfie, Chuckles worked out the £577k not as wages but as cost per week taking into account transfer fee, signing on fee, agents fee, wages over the length of his contract, so not wages there.
But you seem really happy with him going to Man U, just hope Lukaku is as delighted….Pagan

20th January 2018 at 9:25 pm #13203Putting Chelsea to one side I expect the main protagonists for the title next season will be City, United and Liverpool.
Sanchez is a great buy for United a typical Mourinho buy because he’s ready made and Mourinho will spend big again in the Summer.
City under Pep have been head and shoulders above everyone else this season and will spend big again in the Summer for sure but I think they will face a tougher task next season.
Liverpool are really beginning to take shape imo VVD is already there and will be well bedded in by next season Keita is coming and if the sign a quality Keeper and a replacement for Can I think Liverpool will be right up there challenging for the title next season their problem may be that their squad won’t go as deep as either City’s or United’s.
