16th January 2018 at 1:15 pm #12691Never realised that Mkhitaryan was only a month younger than Sanchez. When you look at it that was it wouldn’t be that bad of a ‘swap’ all things considered.

16th January 2018 at 1:32 pm #12693Conte asked in his press conference this lunchtime as to whether Chelsea were trying to sign Alexis Sanchez said β I donβt think soβ?
I don’t believe Sanchez will end up at Chelsea but Conte seemed cagey under the questioning about Sanchez and Steve Atkins jumped in to stop the questioning?

16th January 2018 at 2:06 pm #12702Ronaldo seemingly wants to go?
Real allegedly want Β£89m for him and Ronaldo wants 100m Euros a year and he’s 32 in February even with shirt sales it doesn’t hang together.

16th January 2018 at 2:19 pm #12704I think Sanchez wanted City but was persuaded by his agent to ask for more money. if they don’t pay you just start a bidding war between the two Manchester teams and Chelsea, and don’t rule out Real Madrid to enter the race. which has terribly backfired. now United is the only team i can remember who is in for him or just say the only team that is ready to give in to his demands. as both City and Chelsea become smarter. he should either go to United, or lower his demands or sign a new contract at Arsenal.

16th January 2018 at 3:13 pm #12719Mav, that’s why it’s not just about the money mate Sanchez could have probably earned more in China certainly by moving on a free and agreeing a deal now.

16th January 2018 at 3:48 pm #12724Spare a thought for Arsenal fans as the rest of us argue about who does, who doesn’t and who should, who shouldn’t want their best player, all while having to put up with Wenger for at least the rest of the season!
Slightly concerning from a Chelsea fan’s point of view that Conte has no idea whether or not the club are even in for Sanchez.

16th January 2018 at 4:08 pm #12725Re Sanchez, Wenger didn't get very far with interest in Martial! Told in no uncertain terms it would be Mkhitaryan or straight cash deal. At this stage, expecting Mkhitaryan to agree to join #afc, paving way for Sanchez to go to #mufc.

Sky Sources: Deal involving Alexis Sanchez and Henrikh Mkitharyan would be a straight swap with no fee. #SSN pic.twitter.com/fUpuOgYzuH

Glad to hear Martial is not even up for discussion and it sounds more and more like a straight swap or straight cash deal being offered.
As much as I’m not that keen on Sanchez, a straight swap with a player who can’t get a game and almost the same age would be some piece of business. Surely can’t be that though. Seems unlikely.

16th January 2018 at 4:32 pm #12727I’m not concerned about Conte’s answer about Sanchez. i heard many times Conte say about similar when questioned about the transfer. he reluctantly confirmed that Chelsea are not in for Sanchez. as his wage demands are insane. personally i won’t be concerned about if he goes to United. it will be interesting to see what happens with United’s pursuit of Griezmann?

16th January 2018 at 4:47 pm #12729I haven’t seen Conte say anything about Sanchez wages being too high. I’ve seen reports that Chelsea won’t pay it but this is the first I’ve seen from Conte himself on the subject. I stand to be corrected though. There seems to be a real disconnect between Conte and the Chelsea board re transfers looking in from the outside.
Griezmann is another one that I hope we stay away from. From what I’ve seen of him this season, he doesn’t look anything like the player he was a couple of years ago. I don’t know where he would play either to be honest. He isn’t as prolific as Lukaku and I think he’d be wasted out wide.

16th January 2018 at 4:54 pm #12730Ed-I agree about Griezmann completely,he is much better suited to La-Liga football than EPL.Sanchez too would only be a short-term deal, the way Jose plans/thinks1
