We have to take full responsibility for that. Atlanta deserve their Win and probably go on to complete the Tie.
Change after change after change because of injuries and conceding first will eventually come to bite you Bigtime.
One of the worse defeats under Jurgen’s reign at Liverpool. The sooner Alisson is back between those posts the better.

11th April 2024 at 10:19 pm #213777The attacking players arenβt delivering at the moment and we lack the experience/solidity of some years ago to keep things tight. Not a good combo.

11th April 2024 at 10:55 pm #213778It’s the same predictable passage of Play. I now see for the first time, we’ve been reduced to 4 on our injury list and that includes Bajcetic and Alisson who should return finally for us this Sunday.
What was the point keeping Adrian? We didn’t buy properly into a Secondary GK. Too many games for Kelleher.
Atlanta were First Class and Deserve their Triumph.

11th April 2024 at 11:14 pm #213779Kelleher is the least of our problems to be honest. We were slow, narrow and predicable like we were at the start of the season. Difference between then and this game is Klopp changed it.
Yes we have almost everyone back but those players will need time to get up to speed whilst the core team this season look like the games have caught up on them. I think Klopp is purposely slowing our tempo to accommodate the fatigue but it’s not the way these players are drilled to play so you get poor individual performances.
Konate, Gomez, Szoboszlai and in particular Tsimikas were dreadful tonight. I would only give Gakpo a 7 and the rest between 2 and 6, and Gakpo’s good play only came in fits and starts.
Atalanta were brilliant, tactically spot on, forcing us to go long and cough up possesion time and time again.
Flat crowd didn’t help either.

12th April 2024 at 7:39 am #213781Did we play like that because we were tired threeps? It was absolutely awful
We concede to many goals to really win any more trophies.
Im losing belief in nunez big time. Absolutely awful when it cones yo tye big games. Mo not fully fit and totally off it
Kelliher has been exceptional. Could have been more last night only for him. Vvd and konate were awful.
There will be on fairytale leaving for klopp. We have been significantly over achieving this season. We just arebt good enough

12th April 2024 at 10:01 am #213782Morning Sean et al
I think it’s a mixture of tiredness and JK under estimating the opposition ?
He was trying to keep his core group fresh for the league game at the weekend imo.
Like any good manager he came out after the game and said to the press “it was on him”If that first leg was away in Italy.I don’t think he would of started with the eleven he started with
at anfield last night? He’ll have to go strong in the return leg if he wants to progress imo.If anyone can overturn
a 3-0 deficit he can_____________________________

comp? Given you’ve still got to playNewcastle A
Arsenal H
Chelsea A
Liverpool A
Burnley H
City H
Sheff U AOnly a couple of “givens” in there ?
My supercomputer Alan the tortoise predicts Spursy will kick in soon and the 63

12th April 2024 at 10:57 am #213784Ye paul, i think everyone just thought the europa was a given. We havent been great since utd fa cup game. We concede far to many goals to win the league.
Funny thing is we were worst in tye 2nd half yday with the supposedly better players
You need your so called big players to stand up at this time of the season like fofen, kdb and rice etc
Salah is not fit. Nunez is nunez and just piss poor defending

12th April 2024 at 11:01 am #213785Sean, as PPT said its tiredness and Klopp’s tactical decisions to help the PL campaign going that makes play so badly. Slow possession type isn’t our forte but it keeps the stamina up for other games. We’re just crap at it and need to go full throttle in my opinion.
I lost belief in Nunez before he even kicked a ball for us as you know, and look at the criticism that opinion caused π€£ He causes “mayhem” but many other strikers do too but they also hit the back of the net. Think the TNT commentator compared Nunez to Kane with 11% conversion rate to over 25%. Nearly 1 goal in 10 shots to 1 in 4.

12th April 2024 at 11:17 am #213786Threeps, Has everything in him to be top class but hes just a bit brainless. His numbers are good this season but the elite strikers score in the big massive games. His decision making is just shocking.
He should have 30+ goals thatβs absolutely no exaggeration. Im losing belief in gim to be honest. Hes got everything but needs to be scoring so much more.

12th April 2024 at 11:43 am #21378763?? Don’t get that one, give you 115 chances to explain it!! π
Feeling fairly confident we’ll finish top 5, not the easiest run in for sure, but I doubt any of the chasing pack are going 7 for 7 to catch us and will be dropping points too… I think we would have to lose all 7, or at least no win a single game between now and seasons end for us to finish outside Top5… which really would put the Spurs in Spursy… π
Just hoping the Prem get 5 next year for CL, we were tied 2nd with the Germans until last night, but now we’re 0.035 points behind in 3rd…
Watched a bit of the Micky Mousers last night, 0-0 when I went to bed (Buffy says Hi), but even I noticed the crowd was flatter than Buffy’s Arsenal…

12th April 2024 at 5:48 pm #213789We need to own yesterday. Granted it was a freakish defeat, but it was first class from Atlanta and the faults lie with us. Everybody bar Matip and Thiago are back effectively.
We’ve not played with our first choice and settled 11 with the back 4 in mind. Alisson is missed for his experience and leadership. I think Trent has been too. Zobo has been a bit of a disappointment for me as with Darwin for their lack of ruthlessness.
I wouldn’t say it’s all over as the no away goals makes the tie exciting. I think like in most scenarios like this, an early goal is needed.
I’m not sure too why there’s an Aura about us not being in the League anymore when we’re 2nd on goal difference. I would not be convinced as biased as this would be assuming both Man City and Arsenal will win ALL their remaining matches. Football can just turn on it’s head when you least expect it.
Let’s take Responsibility and get our part of the deal right. Let’s try and turn it around for Palace.
