There I was thinking both sports stars and teams in an ultra competitive sporting environment will try and bend or game VAR to their advantage… Just like they do crowding refs or calling them out in the bad old days before VAR. Or when a manager sets up hostile crowds for refs during certain games. I’m still waiting for Harry Kane to come clean and admits he wants to star in Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, it would be easier than watching him con refs… that’s disgusting and id bench him for England until he changes his ways. (Never going to happen is it)

Hustling the refs in any form should receive penalty’s, would help the authorities better implement the strategies and keep communications between clubs and the authorities in the dressing rooms.

Until then Harry Kane will always secretly hold onto the ambition of wearing leggings and diving on the biggest stages. TBH, its all pretty sad stuff from players, pundits, managers and some fans who reject it. Reminds me of NIMBY’s… great idea until a wind turbine turns up in a rural area and everyone grouses about progress…

Having seen the “handball” given against Smalling last week, when it so very obviously hit his face, I don’t think I’ve seen such a “clear and obvious” error made by a ref… and VAR wasn’t anywhere to be seen. Yet another perfect example of what a huge pile of Alpaca droppings this whole “idea” is…
