Nil, lighten up mate internationals are an important part of the football calendar and effects all countries and all Clubs.
Lionel Messi was injured playing for Argentina v Venezuela in a friendly and countries don’t get to a tournament without they compete in the qualifying games like England did last night and will do next week.

Nil, seriously mate you’ve got to stop all of this stuff or you’re going to talk yourself off the site again this time possibly permanently.
I get you’re focussed purely on the title race and that the internationals are an unwelcome distraction for you but not everyone shares your views these international games will take place whether you like them or not if they frustrate you so much and get you into these scrapes just take a break from the site for a couple of weeks and come back on when the PL resumes.
This advice is offered with the best of intentions and hopefully you take it like that. Cheers 999

Nine, thanks mate. Just in essence a frustrating weekend. That is all. I’m not going to ‘Globe’ England or Raheem Sterling as I am not happy, but I’ll live. Not sure mate all in all why the ‘weak’ or kind is picked on or the ‘first’ for no reason.
I’ve never insulted anybody. Mark Holmes would be the first. There isn’t any never for me in life to live.

Nil you’ve got to try and not take things to heart. Also, you do a lot better when you aren’t in a victim mentality. I’ve noticed that you tend to be the jealous type in terms of looking at other clubs and reacting negatively towards their successes. We’re all flawed and people will pick up on these and push our buttons sometimes. Usually it’s just banter though, really.
I say this as someone who can get the wrong end of the stick sometimes myself. Anyway, no harm done I think. Just a little wayward discussion. If in future, Nil does talk himself into trouble, perhaps let it be a short “correct” and nothing permanent. We’ve got to reward progress and all that good jazz.
As for what Liverpool are gong for, well other teams have been gong for the very same over the last few decades and they’ve had to slog through these useless internationals then too. I don’t like them myself but there’s no special treatment for Liverpool here. This is part of the reason why a large capable squad is so important.
On a lighter note. Did you lads see the legends highlights? Liverpool V Milan. I still cant get over Milan’s team. They essentially had their old first team, even with Maldini on the bench. Now that’s dedication to the cause.

I know international football may not be everyoneโs cup of tea, and I get Mr. Balanceโs annoyance at the interruption to the domestic league, but itโs happened for decades and teams have still managed to win the league, in a similar vein the same could be said about the Champions League, but the pay back there is the vast cash the clubs get.
As far as national teams go, itโs a good barometer of the state of player development in individual countries, it is probably the closest professional football gets to the grass roots game in so far as you canโt buy players and to coin a phrase โyou can only piss with the cock youโve gotโ…..Pagan

Do prefer proper matches to the “friendlies”, when it comes to international footy and overall quite enjoyed Friday.
You want to think the players are genuinely playing for the shirt, playing for pride when it comes to playing for your country, rather than the sodding great big paycheck they get Monday to Friday…
And special kudos to Sterling, pity he doesn’t want t rub Silly-Willy-Strongbow-Nilly’s nose in it every week in an Engerland shirt… you pommies might actually win something!! ๐

Newbalance. Just looking at the posts. Understand your frustration with the international break. I use it as a weekend to relax from football. What will be will be. As long as players avoid injury….thats the hope.

If football and a player upset you so much. NB. I would find another interest. Football is not worth getting upset for,asChuky said, players do not play for the shirt anymore fans get ripped off, even Liverpool fans and International breaks are made for Tv and to generate more income

Been a long time since I could say I’m looking forward to an England match but everything is so much more positive about England these days I’m looking forward in anticipation to the game tonight. Let’s hope for another England win and another good performance.

Nine…Understand that, a long time ago I looked forward to England matches but time has worn me down, however, I do like a good football match, whatever teams are playing and even when I watch City playing other teams I enjoy the 22 on the pitch and always have done, it is not worth watching any game if you cannot appreciate both teams
