I agree Alfie.First thing I would change is have the VAR persons convos with the ref so we can all hear it.Like Rugby.
Secondly I would send players off for diving.Professional sportsmen cheating fellow pro’s is a disgrace.I certainly don’t want to watch that.

We just need sync and good accurate calls as well as trust in judgement. VAR should only have to intervene on important key aspects of the game that could lead to a penalty, a goal, and a sending off. The linesman should be competent enough along with the Ref to get the other stuff correct.

If you want to witness how corrupt our officials are, look at the penalty United conceded this afternoon.
City owned Oliver clearly pressurised the on field official to give that.
The game is done.

Terrible decision.
Hand ball by Ings first, then clearly a footballing incident. How can an official who is paid by City officiate a Utd game?
How can that be a clear and obvious error? The ball wasn’t under control by anyone and both teams were going for it when two players came together. How can Cootes claim he didn’t see the incident when it was in a challenge for the ball? Took him twenty reviews to see what is meant to be clear and obvious, but couldn’t spot a clear handball.
Such a low bar for a foul, which could have easily been a free kick for Utd.

I just wonder honestly how in 2024, we have got to the point where Van Dijk’s Blue Boot is the factor of playing the opposing player onside? Lines?!?!?!
Oh my god, I didn’t even think ‘that far ahead’! It’s a clear goal. 20 and 10 years ago, nobody even really thought that deep into whether it’s an offside.
We need to be real and sensible about this than go Political Correctness.
