I have just read about UEFA rolling out ANOTHER “Nations CUP” next season This will be Group contest, similar to WC but unless they loose something else it will be total madness. How do they expect fans to pay for yet more games and for some mythical Cup, I for one will not support it. maybe they will change the rules to allow 11 substitutions as well!!!! We do not have a team good enough for WC and ECup

I think it’s instead of friendlies, so there shouldn’t be more games as I understand it, but it’s an effort by UEFA to make more games meaningful. But really…who cares?

Sure we had this one a different/previous thread… seem to recall something about it being a mini-qualifying tournament to set the groups for the pre-qualifying tournament, to qualify the actual tournament, where about 70% of the teams qualify anyway, or something like that…. 🙂

Chucky….I am all for putting all the teams in a hat, no seeding, get what you are given.There is no unfairness about that only commercial opportunity for some, the elite

Double B… I say do that for any type of knock-out/elimination style of competition. Annoys the monkey out of me when the already “big-teams” get the advantage by given “small-teams”. Reckon we both know it’s all about ratings/TV money these days…
