I felt Southgate’s comments were a little misplaced implying that without doubt Maguire’s story was correct (without exactly saying that).
These guys – not just Maguire – think they are untouchable just because of their wealth as indeed to others in other walks of life.

Obviously he will have to withdraw from the England squad this time.

To be fair the whole thing did seem to be rushed through.

Maguire like everyone else has a right to appeal.

Whatever happens he won’t go to jail and I doubt he will go on holiday to Greece or its Islands again.
