Half way through a season which I’m sure is going to feel the longest in history for some…
As for my boys, we’re getting worse week by week… injuries are piling up, youngsters playing out of position, the future looking bleak, and surely the few “stars” we do have are on the blower with their agents I would think…
A lot will depend on when we get Cuti and Micky back, but even when we do, us fans will be holding our breath waiting for their next injury anyway… highly unlikely we’ll be qualifying for Europe due to League position, so we better hope for some luck in the Cups…
All in all, a massive disappointment so far, a manager who is too stubborn for his own good, and a squad which I think are not as unified as some would have you believe… it’s a pity, there are some decent players there, just not enough of them….
Be lucky to finish Top 10… which is doubly annoying when you consider the only who have outscored us are the ones sitting 8 points clear at the top of the table…

30th December 2024 at 8:41 am #217015Absolutely year of the cock-up…. but like you say, makes it all a bit more interesting than usual. Still, 3 wins on the bounce from anybody 14th upwards would put them right back in the mix and still looks like Top5 will get CL footy this year so everything to play for…
For once, I think the Jan Transfer window could be an important one for a lot of teams!

30th December 2024 at 9:06 am #217016Slight change of subject, anybody else seen that “Beast Games” thingy on Amazon? 1,000 contestants trying to win a 5 million dollar prize? Best TV I’ve seen in years… can’t recommend it highly enough if you want to larff at dumb-fook ‘Mericans!!!

30th December 2024 at 9:22 am #217017Yeah it’s been pretty good, but it’s not over until the maths say so.
But loving the twin disaster stories in Manchester!
Big shout out to Forest, what a season they are having.

30th December 2024 at 10:26 am #217019Come on, 3p’s, nobody is catching you, nobody else is consistent enough… not only are you going to win it, you’ll be winning it by more than the current 8 (or 11 if you can’t the game in hand!)…
My Monster Munch is on Pool winning it with the maths confirming it with 5 games to go!

30th December 2024 at 10:27 am #217020But do agree, both Forest and Cherries fans must be loving this season, and good for them!
Awayday days in Manchester have been the only highlight of us Spuds season so far… π

30th December 2024 at 11:52 am #217022It’s half way point so ask yourself could Liverpool have a 2nd half similar to Arsenal and Chelsea’s first half or even worse? I would say yes. And could arsenal or Chelsea have a similar 2nd half to Liverpool’s first half or even better? Possible but difficult especially when the European fixtures get tougher. But if those two things happen with one of the London clubs then Liverpool could lose the title. So no liverpool fan will say they’ve won it yet, even if we are in a great position.

30th December 2024 at 12:05 pm #217023Behave… Pool have that swagger and momentum behind them… they could drop points for sure, but the 2nd and 3rd best teams in London are going to drop even more before seasons out.

30th December 2024 at 1:34 pm #217025exactly threeps,60 points to play for. Absolutely no liverpool fan will be confident until its mathatically impossible for anyone to catch us
Aresnal won 16 of their last 18 games last season and have the easiest run in
So many things called wrong at start of season. Forest, chelsea etc and absolutely no way did anyone see this happening to city
Liverpool in great position but its opposing fans saying its over with 20 games to go! Same was said in 2019,2020 and last ywo years with arsenal. Loads to play for
Im expecting a bumpy ride

30th December 2024 at 1:54 pm #217027The difference seemingly this time round is the T1000 threat has diminished. They were a bit fortuitous at Leicester because they themselves didnt punish them (as they should have done)
That might help Liverpool and the others too if they can get themselves together.
Fulham, Bournemouth, teams of this ilk no pushover. In fact, they encapsulate this being the most competitive and the best ever.
Always nice to have a healthy lead.
We collectively are in a great place but always feel an additional signing or too can strengthen us and ease the pressure on players like Grav and Macca. They are seriously clocking miles and doing all the industrial work that then unlocks the attack and the pressing.
The Manager deserves credit for reasserting us in the way that we are disciplined in defence and more patient with the ball and possession when trying to find a way.
The players are showing hunger and fight for every competition available and most of all, unity.
I think personally Trent will leave and the other 2 will stay.
30 years since 1995 when we won the then Coca Cola Cup, 20 years since the famous night in Istanbul and would be 5 since we won our last Pl Title.
Tickets for Crystal Palace dates May 25th already in the region of Β£1000 maybe more.
Would be over the moon for a couple of trophies, but these hope as we know can also be extinguished πΉπ―β½οΈπΎπ§βοΈ

30th December 2024 at 4:05 pm #217028For games 1-9 City were placed first in the form table and favorites for the title. For games 10-18 they were 18th and seemingly out of contention.. Things can change very quickly and drastically in football, and sometimes that just takes a few small things to happen at once.
