Watched him yesterday. Not sure if he is as good as the hype.
Would you sign him for a big fee?

2nd March 2020 at 3:34 pm #79701Yes definitely. He’s the only reason Villa may survive. It wasn’t his day yesterday but City didn’t let him play, which in itself, tells you they know of his quality.

2nd March 2020 at 4:49 pm #79728Grealish is a very good player who could be a great player in a good team with respect to Villa I know Pep rates him, the Final was just too much to carry this time

2nd March 2020 at 10:03 pm #79975My earlier remarks may also be illustrated in that a 19 yr old Foden was MotM playing in a good team which must have had an effect on Grealish as well as the game went on but he never gave up trying, credit him for that but I think all the effort he put in ,he lost some of his creative side

3rd March 2020 at 5:57 am #80318Really depends on the team and setup. I think Grealish needs players around him that can do the donkey work and also keep their discipline. Nine mentioned a previous time that he would fit into Klopp’s midfield as he has a good engine on him but I think that couldn’t be further from the truth. He runs about a lot but not in the way Klopp has his midfielders who run and press at certain triggers and hold other times. This guy will leave massive holes in the middle.
He’s a luxury player, one that looks great in a highlights reel or MOTD. For a team that is setup so he can do what he likes then yeah a good signing as he has talent.

3rd March 2020 at 8:27 am #80405I think there’s every chance Grealish would improve still further playing in a better team than Villa playing alongside better players.
Let’s see what the Summer brings for him but I would be suprised if he was still at Villa on September 2nd and playing in Europe regularly which is likely should also bring his game on further.
But as always the proof of the pudding will be in the eating.
