Nil, I have been posting on this thread all day and have seen nothing but good banter and discussion and very good understanding from everyone towards each other’s POV.
Nine has his opinion and it is a very reasonable one, he should be allowed to express it without worrying about offending anyone, he wasnt taking any digs at all.
You know I have always liked you and chatted to you on the other forum too nil, but I find it a tad ironic that you are moaning about unsavoury posts when the most unsavoury posts I have seen on this entire site were from yourself.

30th August 2019 at 9:44 pm #46758That’s not how it came across Nil and not for the first time but you do always retrospectively deny these things.
This is a Football forum everyone has different opinions if you don’t agree then put across your views in a reasonable way without getting personally insulting it’s unacceptable.

30th August 2019 at 10:01 pm #46760Anonymous999… the other site that can not be named you posted about palmbs- can he not watch football in his hospital bed? Usually a subscription service. Perhaps a small fundraiser from those still using that site could get him to watch the live games at his bed side?!
Just a thought, would be happy to donate if he is in for a long while? Think he could just watch the sky sports package if they have it. It’s a bit pricy and perhaps it might give him a lift considering he does that with his posts. Did it for my dad early this year.

30th August 2019 at 10:06 pm #46761It’s day to day and serial.
L/D, you’re new to here though I don’t know whether you’ve been previously an observer beforehand.
Let People Chill. I deliberately set up Liverpool Going Forward, because I want to talk about Liverpool and 75% will be the case. That is ME in DNA.
I love Football too as a Human Being. I supported those clubs going under to Help Them. That’s the type of person I am.
On the Basis of unsavoury moments, I know what you are alluding too and that’s me at the time being precious having not won trophies for years. Not right in conducting of Behaviour, but that’s all said and done.
I’m not on here in the same way other people are and I’m so glad. Deliberately I opted for an anti desk-job.
But when I do have a little moment in the morning to post or when I am just into Liverpool, people really out there show their dislike. It’s just the norm when Liverpool win Matches, entering this Forum and posting seems at times criminal to express emotion, joy and happiness.

Stop digging nil, what I am referring to is as recent as the super cup, that was not you being “precious having not won trophies for years” You had only a few months prior seen your team lift the CL.

30th August 2019 at 10:23 pm #46764442, kind of you to pick up on this and ask after palms.
His post was full of Chelsea and I did say to him you have not told me how you are or whether you’re out of Hospital.
That’s a very generous offer from you. When I was last in Hospital the TV was a life saver because I found it very difficult to read with so much going on all around me but I could easily watch TV or listen to the radio even watch a film all through headphones and shut everything out.
I think Palms was indicating he hadn’t been up to watching games but I plan to explore it further with him when we next exchange e mails which currently is not quite as regularly as I would like.
Thanks Again for your Kindness though. Cheers 9’s

30th August 2019 at 10:36 pm #46768L/D, that was what I was referring to as well.
I’m not digging.
From a Football Fan’s POV, 1 trophy spurns into the desire to win more.
We’ve never crossed words mate like you say from any Football Websites.
I’ve put forward my thoughts and I’m not the type to hold on to negativity too much and dwell. Life’s too short.

31st August 2019 at 10:12 am #46775Final word and last post from me for a while as I’m going to take a break from here for a bit.
My thoughts on this thread were purely personal based on my own experiences and not intended to upset anyone and I’m not sure why it has.
Without going through it all again I just think in an ideal world the way to view football is live and ideally that’s how kids are introduced to the game alongside playing for a local Club and I would for instance much rather my Grandsons were supporting and watching Bristol City live than attaching themselves to Manchester City with all due respect to my City friends on here.
I understand going to live football isn’t cheap and not everyone can afford it but Clubs like Bristol City try to help out there with special concessions for the youngsters and for families and often where there’s a will there’s a way.
My first experience of live football was being taken by my Dad at a very young age to the Lensbury Sports Ground to watch BP play and I loved it and all it cost us was pedal power. 🙂 Cheers All 9’s

31st August 2019 at 10:36 am #46779Have a good break Nine, I hope I am not jumping to conclusions but I think the forum is beginning to get a better quality of dicussion without the tribal inflections. Life is more important than football

31st August 2019 at 10:42 am #46781No need to defend your posts on this nine, they are without question fair and considerate.
I cant think how anyone could disagree that watching your team play from the stands is a much better way to enjoy and support your club than watching on TV. It is clear as day, thats how football began and grew and that was initially why it became the biggest sport in the world.
Now for many reasons that we have discussed very sensibly, many clubs have a disproportionate number of fans and for many reasons, some financial, some geographical, and also that the stadiums have limited capacities, the majority of fans will not be able to watch the games live. Thats just the state of things, but does nothing to take away from nine’s opinion that it is still better if you are at the ground. That will always be true.
I also agree that ideally those who have a local club in the football league support them and not a more successful club miles away, that would obviously be better for the game as a whole. That is just idealism, doesnt mean someone who truly loves a non local club is not a true fan of the club, shouldnt cause any upset because its a very reasonable position to take in the context of ideals.

31st August 2019 at 12:16 pm #46783LD remember it well. Dickov missed a pen and we tried to kill Robben. In fact I think Mokoena broke Robben’s ankle. Had some good games against Chelsea. Was at Old Trafford for the FA Cup semi final when Pedersen was a hairs breath away from taking the match to penalties. Was also there when Phil Jones made his debut as a 17 year old and marked Drogba out of the game. Now he is a laughing stock.

31st August 2019 at 12:36 pm #46784Yeah I remember the manager Kean comparing him to Terry, think he even said was better, utd obviously believed him, silly sods 🙂 To be fair while I dont think he is an elite defender, he is better than he gets credit for.
