Thought I’d start a thread about clubs who this forum posters do not support.
David Moyes is back at Everton. That is a shocker.

11th January 2025 at 12:07 pm #217249Funny how west ham fans wanted moyes out after what he did there. Fans didn’t like the football.
I think potter good appointment at west ham now.

11th January 2025 at 4:26 pm #217254This was surprising, but a good thing that Moyes is regarded and selected regardless of his age and I like this in football.
Everton to be fair to them recently were unexpectedly picking up good results, but the club looking at the bigger picture this part of the season have obviously acted on assessment and of course, they want to preserve their top flight status.

Dortmund have unfortunately dismissed Nuri Sahin. Completely off my radar, but remember around 10 years ago when Rodgers brought him in to Liverpool. Good guy and decent player. He’s 36, but personally, perhaps a little too young/soon to be carrying that weight of responsibility of Management.

22nd January 2025 at 1:40 pm #217481I think Potter has found his level there, like us Spuds, they don’t mind losing as long as the footy isn’t 10 men behind the ball, and that’s not Potter’s style… a good fit for both sides I think.
As for Everton, they seem to be a team that can’t catch a break… spent a ton of cash (so you can’t blame the owners) on a lot of perhaps not quite worth it players (you have to blame the managers)… but now have a wonderful balancing act of a new stadium to sort out… they could be in trouble if the do get relegated… I think Moyes will keep them up, but I don’t think they’ll be overly entertained in the process.
What about Forest? Always had a soft spot for them, loved B.C, and quite chuffed to see them doing well and, to a degree, Nuno getting some plaudits… manager of the year for me!

22nd January 2025 at 6:45 pm #217482I like the unusual suspects showing ambition to strengthen their squad, bu not at the expense of the other potentially being weakened. This is from a neutral’s perspective.

22nd January 2025 at 7:11 pm #217483I think City could recover to 2nd place at some point. The new players could give them a real boost.

22nd January 2025 at 7:57 pm #217484They could very well, after all, despite all their troubles, the 115 have won only one game less than Buffy’s Boyz… (which is why Buffy’s Boyz won’t win the title, don’t win enough, draw too many!).

23rd January 2025 at 1:36 pm #217496Zaha to the US?? Thought more than a couple of teams in the Prem could have done with him for 6 months at least, including my own… find that one a bit surprising…

26th January 2025 at 11:24 am #217555Haven’t really seen many decisions given in the way it was at Wolves yesterday. Oliver’s interpretation. Was on the shin too and the guys of course would be wearing shinpads. A rush of blood and should have been a yellow.

28th January 2025 at 3:50 pm #217611Anybody else today come across reports about a possible extra place for an English Club this term (due to our performance/figures so far)

29th January 2025 at 7:44 am #217614Had mentioned it a few times in the CL thread… but since my boys aren’t realistic contenders for it, kinda forgot… but the last time I looked, it would take a monumental collapse by all the English teams for the Prem not to get 5….
The real question, though, is what happens if either the Spuds or YooUtd win the Europa league (unlikely considering the form of both sides)? As neither are going to finish Top5, would that mean the Prem might get 6?

29th January 2025 at 5:38 pm #217620I am liking this new format and excited everybody is playing all at the same time this evening as part of it’s conclusion.
Wanting to see in particular how the different permutations pan out to get a better sense of it.
The play off’s bit seems interesting.

29th January 2025 at 6:30 pm #217623That’s the thing about the new format, tonight does look exciting, and the poor internet bunny who’s going to have to keep the 32 team league table up to date that I’m sure about 27 of the 32 teams will be looking at is going to be knackered by the end of it… but it’s the now 29th Jan before things have got exciting…
