Nil, it’s one weekend of games and probably a handful of games in London next weekend because of Policing issues.

Football recommences from Tuesday.

I’ve no doubt the games at weekend we’re called off because of fans reactions during minute silence or the national anthem. Specifically clubs like Liverpool and Celtic. We won’t go into why but that’s my take on it

Rugby, cricket etc are all on but football is looked on differently.

Think you are right there Sean, it is OK for fans to have an opinion on Royalty but there has to be be respect of the passing of a human being irrespective of there status.Other sports are more respectful The growing insanity of some football fans is a worrying feature now, irrespective of this event, More family friendly requirements need to be found and established

I’ve my thoughts on it but I really won’t get into it brian. A lot of focus through the media on Liverpool etc which is very unfair as hearts fans booing the other night.

Sean, but the decision to cancel this weekends games was taken by the Club’s themselves.

It’s all done and dusted now though and football starts again on Tuesday albeit the London based games maybe lost next weekend due to the Policing issues.

With the route of the Queen’s cortege passing through the various town’s on it’s route to Edinburgh the people of Scotland have lined the route in their thousands to pay their respects to the Queen.

The Queen loved Scotland and the people of Scotland loved her back.

Sean, “At a meeting on Friday, Premier League clubs paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

To honour her extraordinary life and contribution to the nation, and as a mark of respect, this weekend’s Premier League match round will be postponed, including Monday evening’s game.” It was decided by the Club’s at that meeting buddie.

Realistically, I can’t see next Sunday’s Chelsea-Liverpool going ahead with the possibility of Policemen/women being deployed. The funeral is seismic to say the least with a mass crowd expected.

This is something football fans need to be prepared for even if they may not particularly like it. Personally, I can’t see the game going ahead.

We will get a clearer picture today about the impact on next weekends fixtures with meetings scheduled to take place between the Police and Clubs re next weekends fixtures.

The games in London next weekend are in most jeopardy of postponement but Police are having to be drawn from all over the country in order to cope with the number of people coming into London ahead of the Queen’s funeral on Monday so there’s a possibility that the postponement of games could go further than just the London games with Police having to be drafted into London from other areas of the Country to cope with the crowds.

European games are expected to go ahead this week in the UK bar possibly Arsenal v PSV on Thursday and with Rangers v Napoli moved from Tuesday to Wednesday after the Queen has left Scotland for London.

Looks like they are exploring changing venues for the london clubs with Leicester and Liverpool being the home teams … but doesn’t help Arsenal v Brentford…

The potential problems with reversing fixtures Stevo is Leicester Tigers are at home that day as are Everton these are exceptional times though so nothing can be ruled out.

Very valid point Nine mate. I don’t think Leicester allow both Rugby and Football on the same days to take shape. Those grounds aren’t too far away from each other, but would require naturally more policing which I know they’re really tight and short of unfortunately.

United v Leeds, Chelsea v Liverpool and Brighton v Palace all postponed this weekend all other games go ahead from Friday with some changes to ko times.
