Rover, exactly my thoughts. Need to at least try and finish on a high positive to take into next season. You guys do need though to release some players that simply are not good enough for Chelsea.

Ok, I cheered when Robertson scored. Can’t lie about the first goal though, still a wounded animal from everything that’s gone on re our season. Get us a couple more, keep a clean sheet and maybe, just maybe.

Hang on CM, didn’t Ange win the league with Spurs in September?! 😅. They’re an absolute shambles at the back. I got loads of stick for suggesting it might be worth waiting a bit longer before giving him too much praise. The way the media and some Spurs fans went on about that first few weeks was completely ridiculous.

Yeah, looks as though Ange is growing out of his depth. Richarlison made a difference; maybe both him and Maddison could have started. Freefall for Spurs.
I just feel really down-hearted when as a football fan when I do see teams not immediately bouncing back but instead on a downfall. They should really be able to retain 5th place and build on that. Whether or not Ange will lead this team next season time will tell but for not for him, it’s not looking too hopeful.

Can’t say I feel too great thinking about the goals we conceded. We can’t keep clean sheets. There’s a coincidence of their changes and our changes. We need to clearly invest in new defenders over the summer and a new defensive pacey and robust midfielder.
Only winning our remaining matches will salvage some pride.

Mav, I do agree in principle mate. What I’m seeing though from the lens outside of Spurs, is a Manager not really changing to circumstances, but instead persisting with “just go out and play and see what happens”.
That I sort of seen resemble with our own Manager; 4-3-3 pretty much all the time and no alternative in a gameplan and strategy.

Cannot read in to this Chelsea run. They are playing teams off form. West Ham have fallen off, with player knowing Moyes most likely will not be there next season. Spurs are not playing great. Villa have only won 2 games in 9 and United are just a shambles.
