Ed, atlanta was one of the worst performances ever under klopp. Totally sgree, very average team and we were humiliated . Absolutely no excuses thete
When its come fown to it, we havent been good enough to beat average teams in the last week.

13th April 2024 at 3:10 pm #213812I was just looking at the predictions thread Sean and quite a few had Liverpool top 3 and you questioned why people were writing Utd off because they were tipping Liverpool to do better. I think it was very clear to me that Liverpool underperformed last season because their midfield was so poor. They were always going to be better this season imo. I’m not surprised in the slightest they’re top 3 anyway. City usually would be further ahead then they are now so they’re keeping Liverpool in the race by underperforming too imo.
As you say, all about opinions. Could still be a great finish for your lot and Klopp.

13th April 2024 at 3:21 pm #213813At least Nancy Jnr had a better day, even if it did cost me a 60β¬ goal bonus…

13th April 2024 at 3:31 pm #213814Doesn’t matter if Liverpool havnt beaten utd or done well against the top 6, its a league of 20 teams. If they haven’t done as well as city or arsenal against the top then they must have done better against teams in the bottom 14 than those two as the points are more or less the same.
If Arsenal or City miss out, and at least one of them will, what agenda should we use to beat them down with? Why are Liverpool being highlighted when clearly the other two have also had far from perfect campaigns?

13th April 2024 at 3:37 pm #213815Thats our predictions ed π im talking about pundits, neville etc. i get top 3 but did anyine think we could push two teams better then us to were we are now?
City are under performing yet have lost one game in 36? They have won 18 of their last 21 games. Arsenal have 31 points from 33. All teams could finish with over 80+ points.

13th April 2024 at 4:08 pm #213817No that’s a fair point Threeps. Liverpool are proving this season that you don’t have to do well against the big 6 to compete. I think it’s always been (maybe mistakenly so) a bit of a gauge of a top team that you need to have a good record against them to compete, but evidently that’s not the case.

13th April 2024 at 4:09 pm #213818Yeah fair points Sean. Re City, I just mean they’re below where most probably expected they would be at this point.

13th April 2024 at 4:21 pm #213819Sweddy Eddy-There is only one thing that counts, getting more points than everybody else, come the end of the season.

13th April 2024 at 4:57 pm #213820Given the results today, expect us not to turn up and get beat.

13th April 2024 at 5:50 pm #213821So we decided not to turn up. Whoβd have thought.
And Rashford playing for himself.
Though not happy that Bournemouth have flooded our half of the pitch with the sprinklers so much that you canβt play the ball on the floor.

13th April 2024 at 6:08 pm #213822Bournemouth look like they can score everytime they go forward yet utd just stay in games. They get outplayed consistently but still have a bit of quality to give them a chance
Be no surprise if they won this when they have been easily 2nd best

13th April 2024 at 6:08 pm #213823Diabolical defending, itβs like they have not played together before.

13th April 2024 at 6:10 pm #213824Sean, if they tried a bit more they would be ok, they just donβt seem to want to play, no urgency, no spirit today and no effort in tracking back.
You canβt defend that deep, with an attacking line that high and not put the effort in.

13th April 2024 at 6:22 pm #213825What do the Football Supporters in general want if we are talking the subject of standards and levels? What I do see is a competitive league and yes the ‘Reputation’ of Manchester United has not been let’s be open since 2013.
Chelsea in recent years have not been the Chelsea they were when the won the League under Conte. There is of course that word: Cyclical. Man City in a few years will probably fare in that direction.
It is a fair critique on one hand because both Tottenham and Villa sit on 60 points which in my view isn’t really of a high standard if you’re aspiring to play in the Champions League against the best.
You could argue they’re there because the teams beneath them have probably taken points off each other compounded with a larger number of defeats.
There is more of a level playing field and competitiveness, but I feel those teams that may try and show ambition in the transfer market are then being penalized for breaching FFP.

13th April 2024 at 6:24 pm #213826Sean, your point is correct mate. I think the St Patrick’s Day game had one on us psychologically, but really, we were the master of our own downfall last Sunday not burying our chances.
Bournemouth currently lead, but they have had opportunities to increase that lead but haven’t. It’ll only be a matter of time until United find another equalizer.

13th April 2024 at 6:46 pm #213828Ye i get you alfie. Just a bit to easy for the opposition but utd are still in it when they should be a few down
They just seem to always stay in games when playing poorly.

13th April 2024 at 7:05 pm #213829Every team look like they’ll score when they attack us Sean. It’s been like that for ages. No idea how we’re still in this but it’s looking increasingly likely that Ten Hag will be gone this summer. Spurs and Villa aren’t great at all but nobody is capitalising on their mistakes.
