Ed, ya Rodgers time there might be up soon alright, as Leicester seem to be going backwards. Zidane in might well work but I kinda like what Mikus is saying regards Keane. The worry of course is that Utd could bring in an interim, who gets a rise out of the players… and then 3 years later, they are slow to make the obvious choice and get someone proven in.
It does look like it’s going to be ZZ and Ole is absolutely fired now.

Mak, I think Utd need someone like Keane who knows the club, has experience, has that authority and has that passion to fire it up. But the problem I think would be is there’s still no love lost between him and Fergie. Plus he’s criticised quite a few of the Utd players publicly recently. So it wouldn’t happen thinking more about it, even on an interim.
Zidane makes sense. I think he was hoping to have a sabbatical whilst he got himself up to scratch with the language. But we’ll see what happens.

Mikus has a point about Keane slating some of the Man Utd players, on top of that heβs still trying to forge a career as a pundit, and heβs being very critical of players and managers, if he goes and fails the other pundits will rip him to shreds if then goes back and is as critical Ashe has been in the pastβ¦β¦β¦Pagan

I don’t think United would go for Keane even as an interim Manager firstly allegedly United don’t want to make an interim appointment, secondly Fergie would never countenance it and rightly or wrongly he will have an input and thirdly Keane would be even more disruptive than Jose was and United wanted to get away from that kind of Manager which was allegedly one of the reasons United didn’t go for Conte.

Im reading that the Glazers will sell shares soon to a massive Chinese consortium and in return they will hire a Chinese coach by the name of Winonesoon, I personally haven’t heard of him so I don’t believe it’s a good idea besides the riches involved.

Zero chance of Keane going in as an interim. As others have said, not a chance he’d be welcome by Ferguson nor would he want to do it, for the same reason. Like Nine, I also feel he’d be too disruptive.
