6th November 2021 at 8:05 pm #188448Strange to sack Farke after a win probably the right decision though providing they can get the right man in?
Good point for Newcastle and a much better second half performance their survival though may depend on who they can buy in the January transfer window.

6th November 2021 at 8:05 pm #188449After just 11 games, I think there have now been as many managerial sackings in the Premier league as there was in the entire previous season. Lockdown made a hell of a difference.

6th November 2021 at 8:45 pm #188452Tough one for farke given the win? They still odds on to go down and if they do they would be in good hands if they gad kept farke as he had already got then promoted twice and no doubt could have done so a 3rd time.
I suppose for Norwich they believe with a change they could stay up but I’m not so sure.
Although not starting gilmour week in week out is bloody gross misconduct in my book so out you go π

6th November 2021 at 9:13 pm #188454Nine, I think it’s all pre-designed mate. To me it may have already been dealt with behind closed doors.
Good Bloke. Many of time I believe this sort of thing happens for a reason.
Cheers

6th November 2021 at 9:24 pm #188455Yeah nil if you win and then sacked straight after it 100% already decided before the game.
Must be weird as hell for a manager to get a much needed win and feel a sense of relief only then to be sacked.

6th November 2021 at 10:31 pm #188459Lucky, what I was alluding to mate is what’s worked behind against what we see isn’t always mirrored. I wouldn’t expect it to be.
The mind was already made up. In fairness not an easy Decision Above All from the Top Of The Tree.

7th November 2021 at 12:06 am #188461AnonymousI just saw Skys panel after the Utd game. They’ve really gone to the dogs. The setup drama between the 3 lads there, the pretend anger and the genuinely weird lack of any integrity from Keane and Neville whenever Ole is mentioned… yuek.
The back-handed support from Neville is one thing, he’s a little rat but I’d expect better from Keane, but he’s just as spineless. Just admit that he should be fired, it’s so bloody obvious that he isnt up to the job. Just say it but no, he doesn’t want to do his mjob because it would get in the way of his friendship. Its amazing that those clowns won anything being so spineless.

7th November 2021 at 7:21 am #188463You would imagine Norwich have someone lined up it’s the last throw of the dice by Norwich to see if a change of Manager can keep them up.
Farke has been living on borrowed time for a while and Norwich have been more than fair with him after two relegations he could get them up but couldn’t keep them up.
“I believe this sort of thing happens for a reason.”
You’re right Nil it does and if you don’t win games any Manager will end up getting the sack eventually after four-and-a-half years and winning 88 of his 208 games in charge, but only six of 49 Premier League games Farke did well to hang on for as long as he did.

7th November 2021 at 7:39 am #188464It doesn’t look like United will bow to media pressure and sack Ole.
Seemingly United didn’t fancy Conte and there’s not an obvious replacement available right now and United won’t be playing City and Liverpool every week so without United go on a disastrous run it looks like United will bide their time and try and go until the end of the season when there will be more candidates to choose from when and if United finally deem a change is needed.
If their CL place is in danger that could cause a change of heart but again apart from an interim Manager taking over like Carrick or taking a chance by appointing Zidane there’s very little to choose from.
Sacking Ole is the easy part replacing him with someone better is a bit more difficult.

7th November 2021 at 8:37 am #188466Nine, absolutely right mate. Ultimately whichever division you’re in, you have to deliver results.
I think the club just wanted to handle the whole affair with as much respect as they could. Farke and his staff have been told they are welcome, but naturally I’m sure he’ll want some time away.
I don’t know who the candidate to take on the job will be – somebody aspiring to manage and feel they are up to the challenge.

7th November 2021 at 8:42 am #188467Yeah, true nine.
Maybe when things change at the top of the helm, then decisions can be made. I.e. once Woodward leaves. The fans obviously know the vision and they want to get back to where they were (rightly so).
It’s the recruitment side of it and developing something for the long-term.
If a suitable replacement top name with pedigree can be sought then that would be the end for Ole.

7th November 2021 at 8:44 am #188468If Utd hadn’t already hired and fired Moyes I’d think he would be considered now. He’s built the best West Ham team for many years. Solid defence and midfield 2, exciting going forward. I still fancy Liverpool to win this afternoon, we have a great record against both West Ham and Moyes, but they should be considered alongside Leicester as one of Utds rivals for 4th.

7th November 2021 at 9:21 am #188469three ps,
Exactly! You’ve just hit the nail on the head. Both Liverpool and Man City have strong squads, manager and continuity of players and managers that have last long at the helm.
United have made frequent changes and don’t as such have continuity albeit the first time in Ole lasting this long. They fire him and it’ll be back to square one with somebody new coming in and wanting most likely is own set of players etc.
