The game evolves… it’s that simple. It will catch up with everybody, even managers, especially after 15/20 plus years…

5th November 2021 at 9:05 am #188331Whatโs wrong with Howe? What more can he do on his cab than what he did under Bournemouth?
Young likes to play can work with what he has got โฆ good appointment for me but itโs how much time he gets or is given
To keep them up and transition them to where they have spent cash for a few years may not be to bad at all imho_____________________________

5th November 2021 at 4:54 pm #188339AnonymousRafa is loved by them because whilst he wasn’t there on time to save them, he stayed and got them promoted again. He wasnt properly backed and kept them up too. Bruce was never going to be accepted there, not only because of Sunderland but because the owner got him in because he was less of a headache than Rafa. I think he could influence what players he wanted but that almost certainly wasnt going down well with Rafa.

5th November 2021 at 6:59 pm #188340Will Howe satisfy the owners?
I doubt it. They want to be a Chelsea or City.
That takes years_____________________________

5th November 2021 at 8:35 pm #188341I hope Howe does well, he is in a very difficult situation from day 1, so he is inheriting a “mess”. I think he is capable but like everything else in football, no matter what club, it depends on the support he receives. However, he does know what he is walking into and I am sure is confident of his own abilities. A young British manager, I hope he survives

5th November 2021 at 9:17 pm #188345Adlab, very good point raised for discussion.
It’s at the time the Proposition and what you inherit. That measured against your competitive clubs that are of a Threat.
Chelsea had their stars in the late 90s ala Gianluca Vialli and Gianfranco Zola. They were growing in the early 00s with Claudio Ranieri, but once Abramovic came into power, there was a change in direction and for the Brilliance as it turned out.
Manchester City; Robinho, Yaya Toure. In between, players coming and going, but that in itself took Time. Looking back to 2010, 2011, What A Team. What A Team. Edin Dzeko, Sergio Aguero, Vincent Company, David Silva, Mario Balotelli.
Nigel De Jong, James Milner, Pablo Zabaleta.
Roberto Mancini in charge; I do remember in between the period of Mark Hughes and players in Joey Barton and Stephen Ireland – ones to forget about.
Years Realistically will be needed for Newcastle. They’ll need to be able to Recognize a handful of Core Players they can Retain, and add to.
They’ll have to start somewhere though and a different proposition altogether.

6th November 2021 at 3:24 am #188347AnonymousIt’s mental that if we don’t lose against West Ham, we break the all time Liverpool record for most all competition games in a row undefeated.
I had absolutely no idea that we were near this record.

6th November 2021 at 8:36 am #188349Well today could be painful. We’re so easy to play through and City will surely exploit that. Another humiliation at home today would surely be the end for Ole.
He has a habit of pulling out results when he’s on the brink of losing his job, though, so no result would surprise me today and, for all Ole’s faults, there’s nobody better at pulling out a result against Pep.

6th November 2021 at 9:16 am #188350Ye difficult one to call Ed. It should be city all day long but you just never know. Ole has pulled some big wins out of the bsg when badly needed
Looking forward to it.

6th November 2021 at 9:20 am #188351Ed,
I fancy United to get a result today, if OGS plays 3-5-2 with wingbacks staying deep and Using Rashford and Ronaldo’s pace to trouble Diaz and Stones. Also OGS needs to draft hardcore tacklers in midfield to make it tight. Please drop Fred and replace him with Matic. A midfield trio of Mc tomy, Matic and Pogba is well balanced, where Matic will play physical, Mc Tommy will bring energy and Pogba will bring creativity.

6th November 2021 at 10:27 am #188353Pogba shouldnโt be anywhere near the utd side. They need to get him out ASAP
He was dreadful during the week. Itโs never going to happen for him there.

6th November 2021 at 10:54 am #188355Don’t disagree Sean. He can be absolutely incredible but then be invisible for 10 games.

6th November 2021 at 12:19 pm #188358Thatโs the frustrating thing Ed mate. He is a world class talent but itโs not happening at utd.
Some utd fans are clinging to the hope he comes good but itโs 5 years now. Itโs like me with keita. Can see he has incredible talent but itโs not happening as heโs injured constantly
