31st October 2021 at 5:28 pm #187837Seems spurs have sacked nuno with Ryan Mason to be appointed as interim manager for second time this year. Nothing official yet but lots of noise last 30 mins that it’s done.

31st October 2021 at 5:45 pm #187839The oracle is tweeting it…
Talks ongoing between Daniel Levy, Fabio Paratici and whole Tottenham board to decide on Nuno Espirito Santo’s future, under discussion. He could be sacked but no decision made yet – and it’s gonna take some hours. ⚪️ #THFC pic.twitter.com/3TaXbAphUy

31st October 2021 at 6:04 pm #187843AnonymousWhat exactly is the “wrong” manager though? Is it because he’s defensive, or are we judging him after 10 games? 10 games where he’s started with a massively unsettled star man. Did he ever really have a chance? This is a bit like the Koeman situation.
The board probably wont recognize that maybe the problem lies higher up, unless the fans unite and get the message across, in clear terms.
It’s my opinion that the Spurs job was a poisoned chalice and that he might well be the right manager (whatever that actually means) for them. He did a great job at Wolves, who were potentially held back only by the quality of their squad.

31st October 2021 at 6:17 pm #187845Mak, 10 games and they have scored 9 goals. Jose was labelled defensive but spurs scored and created much more under him.
No manager will come in and get them to top 4 in near future as they don’t have the players they did under poch but they are as poor as it gets creating chances and conceding chances. Nuno is not getting anywhere near the best out if the players he has it is clear as day.

31st October 2021 at 6:20 pm #187848Sad to see Aston Villa Struggling, but I suppose that’s what happens when you lose the leader and most influential person at the club, but on the flip side you have to respect his decision and his desire to prove himself elsewhere, the big question of course is where will JT’s next management job be………..Pagan

31st October 2021 at 6:34 pm #187853Yeah feel for Mings in Particular Pagan. Decision of the Red Card obvious had it’s influence, but to be fair it looked like the Hammers had a lot in their locker.
Very good value and deserved. There’s a good mould of players like Bowen, Fornals and the full-backs work hard.
Tough game when Liverpool visit next Sunday.

31st October 2021 at 6:45 pm #187855Yeah, the callers Sean are digging Smith out so far on the Radio tonight. I think it’s the 4 defeats on the bounce.
More than 1 Prem Manager at Risk.

31st October 2021 at 6:51 pm #187856AnonymousThose stats could say a lot about the environment, rather than the manager. they have the worst distance covered? … They are disillusioned and I dont think it has a damn thing to do with the new man in charge. It’s all about Kane lads.

31st October 2021 at 7:01 pm #187857Napoleon… not one to normally rush into those sorts of decisions, and it’s a bit harsh to judge him after just 10 games and as you say, the problems go a bit deeper than just him, but I would say the writing is on the wall. Those stats you posted above say it all… a squad that has the level of players which we have should be performing a hell of a lot better than we are. Sure, you can lose games you deserve to win and vice-versa, but we’ve been pretty crap all season. The only decent performance, if you want to call it that, was against Newcastle… and we all know how good they are. We got what we deserved in pretty much all of the rest and a few we didn’t deserve in the others.
Not saying for one minute we’d get him, but I’d be offering Conte whatever he wants…

31st October 2021 at 7:03 pm #187858AnonymousConte would be one hell of a coup. Maybe his status might be enough to raise the players, also securing the future or financial benefits of the Kane situation.. but they could have done that anyway.
Maybe the writing is on the wall but I think this is scape-goat level nonsense.

31st October 2021 at 7:06 pm #187859Did kane pick Ben Davies at left back yesterday mak? 🤔
If spurs had scored 20 goals and were comfy in top 4 we would both be crediting nuno so while I respect your opinion that he shouldn’t be sacked, I can’t agree for one minute that “he doesn’t have a damn thing” to do with how shit spurs have been. They lucky to have won 5 games that’s why spurs are going to sack him it’s only going to get worse.

31st October 2021 at 7:08 pm #187860Banjo, was watching a spurs fan channel and the guy who runs it said he has never ever called for a manager to be sacked but he thinks nuno needs to be booted out ASAP. I totally understand bud.
