I kinda agree with Rover, his bark always seemed worst than his bite, and he would be “picking” fights as a deflective tactic to cover his teamates (not a bad thing, mind you!).
Shame on him if it’s all ‘true’… but I guess we’ll have to wait and see, but even his own teamates reactions tell a thousand words… they all look a bit disappointted in him!

12th October 2022 at 11:13 am #199712From my experience with denizens of the north east itβs par of the course
Itβs like a time warp they are many decades behind the rest of the country π_____________________________

12th October 2022 at 11:27 am #199713I don’t think Liverpool played particularly well against Arsenal but luck certainly seemed against us.
The handball? Debatable but seen them given.
The Arsenal pen? Weak is an overstatement.
But one thing I’ve only just discovered was that the var lines were not calibrated in time to use for the Arsenal first goal. Using my trusty mark 1 eye ball it looked very tight and I was surprised they didn’t put the lines down, even if dodgy hand drawn to fit an agenda lines we’ve all seen before. Now I know why.

12th October 2022 at 11:43 am #199714The penalty given to Arsenal and the penalty not given to Liverpool on Sunday both could have gone either way and the result turned on those decisions.
Liverpool came on strong for 20 minutes in the first half but overall Arsenal shaded the game imo.
The Liverpool of last season would have come away with at least a draw.

12th October 2022 at 11:50 am #199715My point was more of another VAR farce rather than a review of the game.

12th October 2022 at 12:17 pm #199716Again, another 3 points for the Goonies, base on luck and the oppo’s shooting themselves in the foot… certainly in the “Race 4 2nd Place”, but I still wouldn’t have them as favorites…

12th October 2022 at 12:19 pm #199717You all heard klopp re hammans comments? How childish is that? So only klopp knows who can have an opinion now then?

12th October 2022 at 12:37 pm #199722Klopp has an awful attitude Lucky when things aren’t going well. But then so does Pep and Mourinho. Ferguson had it. They all share that trait. I think being a bad loser is almost a requirement amongst serial winners.

12th October 2022 at 5:03 pm #199744Have to agree about vvd ed. absolutely changed us along with Alisson but I didnβt get how he was getting mentioned as one of the best centre backs along side terry, Rio who were the two best for me. I think he is world class. Beast for us for seasons but the top guys did it for ten or more consecutive seasons
His form has been terrible. Heβs made more mistakes this season in his previous 4. The midfield has no legs. We are in serious trouble now. 2nd half was pathetic on Sunday
Mistakes absolutely killing us. Not sure how We get it together. We need a few wins on the bounce . City will destroy us

12th October 2022 at 5:08 pm #199745Also Iβve watched villa a bit. Absolutely no invention or imagination going forward. Good squad there. Heβs no idea of his best 1st 11 or formation. Constantly changes the front line. He is in serious trouble

12th October 2022 at 5:37 pm #199746Currently very unlikely that Gerrard will ultimately get to manage Liverpool without things turn around dramatically for him. I think his time at Rangers has to be seen in the light of how weak the SPL is.

12th October 2022 at 6:26 pm #199751No I agree Sean. VVD is still world class and one of the best, if not the best around, but it was crazy that people were talking about him as one of the all time greats after a couple of seasons.
I still think Klopp will turn things around for Liverpool. Liverpool fans will have to hope so, because unlike City or Chelsea, I don’t think they’re well enough run or have enough money to continue to be successful irrespective of their manager. I know they have a successful transfer committee and good structure but I fear Liverpool may be in a similar situation to Utd and Arsenal post Ferguson/Wenger where there is just a huge vacuum when he goes.
