Congrats to Ronnie on his 700th goal. Like him or dislike him, you can’t deny what a Player he’s been to the Premier League. Not in a certain Eric Cantona’s league mind π

10th October 2022 at 6:22 am #199665Better from Utd against a rejuvenated Everton side. Probably should have had a couple more but the most impressive aspect was the character to first come back from behind then hang on for all 3 points at the end.

10th October 2022 at 8:17 am #199667700 Club goals from Ronaldo is an incredible achievement well done Christiano Ronaldo.
You wouldn’t totally rule out Haaland getting close to it though especially if he spends some time playing in La Liga.

10th October 2022 at 3:04 pm #199672Ronaldo has nothing to prove to anybody, most of all his critics A very impressive statistic

10th October 2022 at 4:34 pm #199674It’s an incredible record. There’s every chance Haaland can fly past that, let’s face it. Ronaldo wasn’t even known as a prolific goalscorer until he was older than Haaland already is now. Worth remembering though that people were saying Dele Alli was set to topple Lampard’s midfield goalscoring exploits based on his stats at an early age. Remember him? It’s a tough ask to maintain the kind of level Haaland is currently producing year in, year out.

10th October 2022 at 9:59 pm #199678Ed…City’s system of playing and the players around him he should be really happy , I suspect he is but 700 goals is a long, long way off and he does need to keep injury free for most of the time. I am sure Pep will manage his time and I would be surprised to see him start to morrow, Alvarez is a perfectly good replacement

11th October 2022 at 8:36 am #199686Canβt see Klopp playing the same set up as he did at Arsenal, v City. Maybe v Rangers who are not on Liverpoolβs level.
Diaz out until after the World Cup is a big loss for Liverpool given his quality.
There were glimpses of the original Liverpool on Sunday can that be extended to more than just glimpses?
Being too adventurous though as we all know can be dangerous v City who themselves are struggling with injuries defensively.
Should be a great game.

11th October 2022 at 11:22 am #199688According to SSN’s the FA are planning to appoint a lip reader in the investigation of the conflict between Gabriel and Jordan Henderson from Sunday???

11th October 2022 at 11:22 am #199689Diaz out until December is a huge blow – he was one of the few positives this season. Not sure how many times Klopp can keep “jump starting” this team to try and go again with all these mistakes they’re making defensively. It’s going to be a long season.
I struggle to see the top 4 teams changing now with City, Arsenal, Spurs & Chelsea all looking fairly secure.
Gerrard almost seems to be at the stage where Ole was at Utd where he’s limping on, but the end can’t be far away now.

11th October 2022 at 11:32 am #199691Trent out for 2 weeks might be a bonus defensively and a break might do him good. Still one of the best in the world with the ball at his feet imo.

11th October 2022 at 11:42 am #199692It’s not just the defence Nine, the midfield has been woeful at protecting them this season.

11th October 2022 at 5:51 pm #199694Yeah Gerrard has to be finished soon. He just seems so limited as a manager. Got no excuse either now after so many of his own players have been brought in. Guess there’ll be no homecoming at Anfield now for him when Klopp goes

11th October 2022 at 5:58 pm #199695Van Dijk’s decline is a weird one. I don’t think you’d get many putting him in the greatest ever PL defender discussion any longer. The fact people were putting him in that bracket after a couple or seasons was crazy anyway. TAA has always been a bit of a liability defending.

11th October 2022 at 7:46 pm #199699Mikus. yes midfield is a key problem area for Liverpool it really needed rejuvenating in the Summer.

12th October 2022 at 5:44 am #199706Nine, this Henderson business is all a bit odd. The clips don’t look great but they obviously prove nothing. The look of disappointment on Allison’s face was quite telling. Surely, though, he’s not stupid enough to do/say what a lot are assuming?

12th October 2022 at 7:45 am #199707Ed,you would hope not but Oliver calling both Managers together straight after the incident and the FA allegedly looking to bring a lip reader in to the investigation suggests that there are allegations of something untoward being said???

12th October 2022 at 10:21 am #199710Henderson reminds me a lot of Costa, they seem to look for trouble instead of calming matters down. I don’t think Liverpool need him unlike Costa who was a miss at Chelsea with their cursed no. 9 factor.
