Dropping too many points and at this stage being able points behind we have lots to do. Looks like Brendan Rodgers’ defense there; so short of confidence and prone to leaking goals. I’m pleased we fought back so no complaints there. Maybe in fairness to Brighton, a draw was deserved.

What’s the key issue? Is it central defence, midfield? You are scoring enough goals. Imo it’s midfield. Milner is at the end of a great career and Henderson maybe also.
You need two players who can command like Rodri for us and somebody who can be more creative.

Liverpool just don’t look on it at all this season. I still think they’ll turn it around and be right up there challenging, though. I’d still have them second. Can’t see any of the other sides being good enough to get second to be honest. They just seem so easy to score against now and seem to leave themselves having to chase games.

Arsenal and City next up for Liverpool. Nothing would surprise me. They could go to both and get 3 points from each and blow them both away and start a revival or they could take nothing and have a real uphill battle ahead.

Arteta rightly being hammered for talking about Partey in terms of “what he’s been through”. Very silly thing to say. The fact he is still playing for Arsenal does not reflect well on the club, never mind saying things like this.

Adlab, that’s pretty much correct. Other teams are catching up with quality from activity in the transfer in the areas they’ve needed to address. Ours is midfield and
I’m starting to realize the link up man up the top in Mane how vital he was for us. Why let him go? Nunez really hasn’t hit the ground running since the community shield. We have players coming back from injury but need more youthful energy.
We’ve had players play for us for years that perhaps need more downtime than gametime.

Ed, ye we are just to easy to play againest. Far to many mistakes. Brighton deserved to win yesterday. I still think we will turn it around but I donβt think we will get second.
Nunez career with us just hadnβt got going. Hes started two league games and hasnβt played a full 90 mins.The sending off really hindered him. He had a knock yday.
I believe he will come good when he gets a settled run in the team but heβs very raw. Huge work needed on him from a coaching point of view. Heβs also really nervous something he has admitted himselfYe Arsenal and city next. Vvd and taa not playing well at all but Iβll always fully support this team and manager no what. They have brought me my best times as a fan. Tough spell but we have bounced back before. We really need to get going soon though or top4 could become a difficult task
