It makes you think how much was spent on Grealish. Although of course early days, and too soon to judge, Ronaldo seems like a bargain of the Century.

What an odd game at Stamford Bridge. Villa will be wondering how they’ve gone in to half time behind when they could have been 3-0 ahead. Villa much the better side but the only thing that matters is the goals column. Chelsea can only be better in the 2nd.

Yeah Ed very poor first half from us, saul had an awful debut and villa had a quite a few chances through pressing him and forcing errors.
Perfect from lukaku though, 2 chances 2 fantastic goals.

When you play as poorly as Chelsea did in the first half and still win 3 nil it’s probably a good sign. 6 changes 2 enforced was probably too many but the international break followed by a Saturday PL game followed by a CL game on Tuesday left Tuchel little choice.
2 more good goals from Lukaku. Villa are a good team and can give anyone a game and they were unlucky to go in at ht a goal down.
