21st August 2022 at 6:33 pm #198037Good game Good fightback and could/should have won it.
Tripper wasn’t a red but would have been last season.
Encouraging performance. We never are beaten._____________________________

21st August 2022 at 6:34 pm #198038I was roasting Taylor and Dean banjo with a dash of sarcasm re romero, not bemoaning the result. Come on bud Taylor and dean deserved roasting if it was other way around I am sure we would have heard plenty from you 🤣
Anyway, we saw how VAR should be applied today. Was such a great game and the red would have spoiled it.

21st August 2022 at 6:42 pm #198040Game of the day. I thought once City put in the first so early, it was game over. One notable observation which Liverpool themselves experienced in both Fulham and Palace was that both Leeds and Newcastle approached with press and absolute Fearless.
Saint Maximum full credit for his application today as with many of those black and white jerseys. In spite of the T1000 and the Roger Federer never say die of the Champions, the Magpies may have secured all 3 points.
A draw probably a fair result. Well Done VAR today, Impressed with both sets of calls overturned which in my view were correct. Superb Game.

21st August 2022 at 6:50 pm #198042Thing is with Newcastle and Leeds more than anything is the players just look like they’re enjoying themselves. Similar with Brentford. Makes a difference. Ditto Arsenal. Compare to the teams at the bottom.

21st August 2022 at 7:21 pm #198048Come on Nepolean, you keep banging on about the Red that wasn’t (in your favor in the 95th minute) which means I have to keep banging on about the Red that wasn’t (in our favor in the 9th minute)… 🙂

21st August 2022 at 8:09 pm #198050Thanks Brian. I tuned in around kick off time. I didn’t pay any attention to whatever went on before with Grealish and Newcastle. I don’t even know about it in all honestly. I’d put it down a little to some childish antics, best ignored.
A good game all round.

21st August 2022 at 8:12 pm #198051Just a little belief lost and the fizz taken out in light of Man City’s 2 replies in quick succession. I still hold my assertion to ‘United in Blue’! Please teams do not fear these!
3-1 up and perhaps should have been seen out. Imagine if this was the last game of the season with Liverpool fighting it out 😉

21st August 2022 at 9:05 pm #198055It’s been an exciting start, and whilst its very early you can still gauge where the teams are at.
Arsenal undoubtedly look better, have bought well but haven’t been properly tested yet, City still look very good and the quick comeback today was very impressive. Chelsea look like they’re blowing hot and cold a bit and could definitely do with more here and there. Spurs look a lot more gritty under Conte. Liverpool have a problem in midfield which ought to have been addressed over summer but they should still pick up, and Utd look as awful as they did last season exacerbated by a new manager implementing a new philosophy who has no experience of the league and is struggling to bring in players.

21st August 2022 at 9:29 pm #198056Mikus, Liverpool currently have 10 players out on injury. There is of course a composition of that not necessarily first team starters, but still a loss to the overall services of the squad; e.g. Ox-laid Chamberlain for 1.
A few of them too won’t be back at the earliest till September.
Good to see however teams notably more fearless and going for it which is what the strategy should be. A good mix and established in the Brighton’s and Brentford’s.
No easy ride as proven with results so far. Early days it goes without saying.

22nd August 2022 at 1:43 am #198058What an absolute passing masterclass from KDB. He was splitting atoms with those passes. Such a joy of a player to watch
