Coy Chucky!! Not me. The only thing I’ll say is it’s just three games. We play our bogey team next!
Liverpool have Bournemouth, United at Southampton, Spurs at Nottingham Forest, Chelsea at home to Leicester. None of these are easy predictions.
Arsenal at home to Fulham looks the easiest. But you never know!_____________________________

23rd August 2022 at 1:57 pm #198186Chuck in the WC… I see what you did there…
Adders… I thought we were your bogey team? π Anyway, the first 4 are easy, wins for all the big-dogs, but strangely enough, I fancy Fulham to sneak a draw for some reason.

23rd August 2022 at 2:26 pm #198188“Is funny how all of a sudden one half decent game and they are top 4 contender⦔
What I said Stevo was “Playing like that United are top 4 contenders”. Admittedly no easy task.
The operative words though Stevo were “Playing like that”π

23rd August 2022 at 2:31 pm #198190All jokes aside, those first 30 minutes were some of the best footy I’ve seen from any side for quite a while… absolutley no way they could do it for 90 and even less chance (even less than Moneybags not winning the title this year!) for a whole season… loved watching it to be honest, even if it was YooUtd… nevermind, let’s put RonnyII and Casi-plonker in the team and see how it works! π

23rd August 2022 at 2:52 pm #198191If Ten Hag hadn’t got that reaction very hard to see where else he could go after that. So it was very important for him. But as it stands, it is just one reaction after over a season of poor performances by this team. Pivotal that Ten Hag makes it stick now and builds on it.

23rd August 2022 at 4:08 pm #198192Chuky…a question for you….have we lost our top spot with you as Moneybags 1 since Newcastle have more than we have now?? Good to see Spurs making an effort this season instead of thinking there first match against us last year, when you won, then thought your season was over

23rd August 2022 at 4:21 pm #198193Sorry Double B, but you’ve got that all wrong. Tommy Tickle & The Whingebags were always “Moneybags 1”, as they were the first team to spunk billions in dodgy cash from corrupt owners, you lot are “Moneybags 2” as you were the 2nd team to just buy success with dodgy cash from nasty owners, the Bone Saw Boyz are “Moneybags 3”, as they are the 3rd lot of nasty f******s who are of the opinion sportswashing is something that actually works… kinda like film sequals if you think about it.
Oh, it was after our third match, having won 3 in a row when we started to think our season was over, something about having nosebloods having been top of the table for a bit… Buffy will be able to tell you more about that in a week or two when normal service resumes… π

23rd August 2022 at 5:00 pm #198194Adlab and practically all others; I wish I could share your optimism whilst the posts have been pleasing to read and elevating too.
I personally don’t feel too despondent; bit too busy in my life at the mo to do so.
I don’t feel confident unless we consider adapting to changes perhaps in our style and formation against the players we have. Either a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-4-2. We can’t implement a midfield with 2 30 something’s and a kid just out of his nappies. It’s unrealistic.
We played 60 odd games, but that’s down to the welfare of the club to ensure players are given the rest break they deserve to recuperate and be fully fit. Our pre-season let’s be honest was pants and could have been better really.
10 players injured and selling on our good fringe players of course doesn’t help, plus the loss of one of our best in Mane, but this is where we have buried our head in the sand. We’ve lived off reputation and we’ve been founded out. We’ve been casual. You have to earn your right each weekend, you don’t get given to you.
Discipline and a reorganization much needed and thinking small steps. What a formation, and a bold brave move from Ten Hag, you have to congratulate. Maybe he could be a surprise package and the Liverpool result a significant turning point to the shape of United’s season.

23rd August 2022 at 8:43 pm #198196Congrats Ed,fully deserved. All about Uteβs attitude and theyβre will to fight for everything. This has to be their bench mark now
This is vdd worst period as an lfc player. Iβve no problem with the owners but we are constantly out spent by our rivals. Why donβt we have as much to spend as say Arsenal. Villa and West Ham and others spend big. We have about 20 m net. The mansger needs to be supported. Cant keep performing minor miracles
Milner cant be starting. We miss mane. Iβve absolutely no doubt we will turn it around but we wonβt be competing with city. We are all about momentum. Unreal when constantly winning but when we are poor, we keep dropping successive points like in the pandemic
We constantly concede chances playing so high. At least one golden chance every game no matter who we play.we canβt keep expecting the keeper to save one on ones.itβs takes one simple ball to open us up.
Plenty of time to get going but we need to start on sat.we will bounce back. We have really missed Thiago as we akeep and move the ball a lot better

23rd August 2022 at 8:47 pm #198197Brave and great tactical switch by ten hagg by taking Elanga off and targeting Taa with rashford . Elanga did well but brave move when one up. He deserves full credit for last night. Won the tactical battle all night long

23rd August 2022 at 8:59 pm #198199Nice one Sean. Thiago has been a massive miss. He’s always been one of those that got away to me. Was set on coming to us under Moyes but Moyes vetoed it for f**** Fellaini π. Brilliant player he is. Still, Liverpool bought him knowing he has had some injury problems. Just like Schweinsteiger and Hargreaves, red flags should appear when Bayern are happy to see a player leave.
I’m convinced you’ll be fine still Sean once you get your key players back. Still second favourites at the moment. Besides, I just can’t see any of the other sides being strong enough to get second.

24th August 2022 at 7:04 pm #198204It is true that Liverpool missed some key players, however, as with City at Newcastle, it is also an early warning sign to both clubs. The league will be more competitive this season. Players and styles will change. In my opinion consistency will win, to whatever team.Liverpool and City will have to get use to a new era I think, some really good exciting players out there now. For Utd, I think much will depend on how the new signings settle in, if they do they will be in the mix somewhere. I also think Jesus and Zinchenko will change Arsenal but cannot see Sterling doing it for Chelsea unless he gets players around him who know his strengths

24th August 2022 at 7:34 pm #198207Sean…OK. but I was also referring to how I think the game will change this season not based on this one game. I have never liked using injuries for an excuse but as you say. attitude cover a lot of cracks. I still think you will be more than alright though!! Diaz and Salah your main threats, I like them both. Nunez..good to see a belligerent Striker but a fear a few Red cards may appear
The ageing midfield may not be up for the “press game” much longer and new blood needed
Just a view from the outside, we have issues as well_____________________________

24th August 2022 at 8:10 pm #198209I agree with Brian. You were not as bad as made out on Sunday but the midfield and TAA defending was below the level you would expect.
Hope we don’t get injuries tonight in Barcelona._____________________________
