Needs more from Liverpool midfield. Much better performance from United. I think Liverpool are still well in this.
TAA defending is suspect.

Very true nil, we look like Man Utd at the back in their first two games. I didn’t expect a title challenge this season, but looking like top 4 might be a challenge now. To not have addressed the midfield issues over summer is ludicrous and I think its clearly irked Klopp.

Added to that our back line have hardly been in great form either. Van Dijk looked more concerned about not hand balling it when we conceded that goal.

I worry that we’ve put so much into that first half hour we’re just going to invite them onto us. Van Dijk has been poor. What was he doing for the goal?! TAA definitely been targeted again. We were getting so much joy down his side for that first half hour.

Long half to go. I think Liverpool will come flying out now. Even if we go on to lose this, it’s shown that we’re not the shambles those first 2 games showed. Ronaldo out and more movement in the front 3, just like in preseason, is so much better for us.

Indeed I think that’s why we’re doing worse than I thought we would this season. The midfield issues AND the poor form of the defence.

All true Mikus. Unfortunately, I can’t help but be critical. What has Henderson done this evening? Elliot is too inexperienced for this type of match or he is better up the top than midfield. Curtis Jones is more self assured, but he too is injured.

The vast amount of players out has not helped and because there’s little protection for our defenders, they look shaken and below their levels of confidence.

Maybe something can be salvaged, here’s hoping.
