Would like a nice Norff London double this weekend, but the way my luck has been going the last few months, I’d be putting my Monster Munch on a Chelsea/Pool double, if I wasn’t overdrawn at the Munch Bank!

4th November 2022 at 10:28 am #200512Fair points as always nine mate but Gallagher and lift us cheek have played in jorghino ss position and are central midfielders.
Crucrella has played left centre back a good bit this season and Dave even though getting in had been exceptional at times as right sided cb
Kante is just a massive loss. What a player and nearly irreplaceable

4th November 2022 at 10:49 am #200513Sean, Gallagher is an attacking midfielder the polar opposite to Jorginho he was briefly tried in a deeper role and it didn’t work. Loftus can play there in an emergency.
Do you really think that if Chelsea lost both Jorginho and Kante they shouldn’t be replaced?
Cucurella can play left Centre back but it’s not his best position Azpi is a useful back up.
If Chelsea lose players or move some on they will need replacing.
“Kante is just a massive loss. What a player and nearly irreplaceable” You’re right and he’s hardly kicked a ball this season.

4th November 2022 at 11:03 am #200516Banjo, I donβt know. Spurs will sit back with ten behind the ball and wait for Liverpoolβs inevitable mistake.
I think conte is a world class manager. No problem watching that football if it delivers trophies but they are absolutely dreadful to watch. 8 defensive players sometimes in his side.

4th November 2022 at 12:23 pm #200521You know exactly what your get with Spurs Sean they will sit back with 10 men behind the ball and hope to catch Liverpool on the break that tactic is slightly hampered though with the injuries to the front players.
Think it might be a draw.

4th November 2022 at 12:50 pm #200525We’re about as toothless as my Granny at the moment… just can’t see us scoring a goal, full stop… either 0-0 or LiVARberoOol win if I’m honest!

4th November 2022 at 1:06 pm #200527Sean, no worries mate I’m hoping the same tbh.
Lots of water to flow under the bridge yet though and Jorginho and Kante might still sign new contracts.
Chelsea have offered Kante a new contract already 2 years plus a one year option but he wants longer which Chelsea are reluctant with given his age and injury record he’s currently recovering from a hamstring operation. It’s been suggested Chelsea will come back with another offer it’s a difficult one primarily because of all his injuries. We’ll see. Cheers 9’s

4th November 2022 at 2:35 pm #200530Nine, there’s always lots of talk about Rice to Chelsea. Understandably when he’s a former academy player. I do think West Ham will again price him out of a move though. I actually think Chelsea will go for Caicedo at Brighton. He looks a real player and is someone we looked at prior to him going to Brighton. He could potentially come in as a long term replacement for Kante. Like you, I don’t think Kante is worthy of anything long term given his injury record now.

4th November 2022 at 3:03 pm #200532I would take Rice in a heartbeat Ed but as you say how much will he cost. I suspect West Ham will put a price on his head well north of Β£100m.
Caicedo looks a good option and there’s obviously the Potter link but allegedly Brighton will want circa Β£90m for him.

4th November 2022 at 3:06 pm #200533Wow. If Brighton want that much for Caicedo, it’s definitely better to add a bit and get Rice π

5th November 2022 at 5:44 pm #200537I just came driving back from the motorway having tuned in to the scores, I just knew the 1-1 was going change in favour of Man City. It’s so unpredictable.
I have mentioned this a few times, this just resembles to a certain red team in Manchester where they are win-bound practically every game.
There is so much brown-nosing from Those surrounding the TV and Radio Broadcasting and I also think some of the Refs are soft. They love Haaland and it’s all about him and KDB. It gets boring and predictable.
Don’t get me wrong, I have had respect for Pep and City over the last few years and there’s been some good battles along the way, but I don’t want a whole decade of them. Personally, if my team can’t win it, albeit Man United (purely because of the Titles record against Liverpool), I’d much rather a different team this year wins it – just my honest take.

5th November 2022 at 5:46 pm #200538Jeez, even a draw wouldn’t be enough for Arsenal to return to the Top because of City’s goal diff. Talk about T-1000!

5th November 2022 at 6:08 pm #200540Despite playing for over an hour with 10 men City totally dominated the game. Soft penalty though.

5th November 2022 at 6:35 pm #200541Just seen that Twitter clip. No way that’s a penalty; there’s barely contact.
What’s VAR done here? That should be a retrospective sanction for diving. My new player to hate; De-bryne!
