Sean, weirdly mate, it reminded my of a classic 4pm kick-off at Anfield versus Man U and was thinking the 2-0 around 2009 when Rafa was our Boss and Torres beat Rio Ferdinand.
This really was a Superb result for us.

17th October 2022 at 8:59 am #200015City fans singing vile Hillsborough songs and Liverpool fans throwing coins at Pep. What is wrong with these people?!

17th October 2022 at 9:24 am #200016Ye disgraceful Ed. Also city fans vandisked a section they were sitting in. Really poor throwing coins
Thought pep played into our hands yday trying to rile the crowd up. It made the ground louder . It was a clear free on fabhino for their call. . Taylor was trying to to let the game flow but poor it was to much at times. Silva back kicked Salah. Thisgo could have been sent off but he slipped so a bit lucky there . As soon as goal was disallowed he blew for every 50/50 for city but great game in a great atmosphere
Poor from Klopp aswell and he looked embarrassed after
We really need to get going now.

17th October 2022 at 9:32 am #200017Yeah that was very naive of Pep, Sean. Great game overall and nice to see some passion in this game. I’ve always found this game a bit lacking in terms drama. The football is usually good but it’s generally always been a bit too pally for me. Lots of high 5s and hugs between the managers. We want to see some fireworks in these rivalries.

17th October 2022 at 10:27 am #200018Given Klopp was sent off why was he running all over the pitch at the end of the game?

17th October 2022 at 1:17 pm #200020As I’ve said before, there is now a culture where it’s deemed acceptable to chant aggressively at the opposition which is deemed as ‘banter’ and thus deemed an acceptable way to let your hair down – but you can’t act surprised when such chants turn into more vile chants and coin throwing by more thuggish elements. It is baked into the “bread and circuses” of it all. What I don’t quite get – if there was racist abuse, it would rightly be widely covered and discussed by the media for weeks on end and what else can be done about it. But other abuse and coin throwing – that barely gets a mention and quickly gets swept under the carpet.

17th October 2022 at 2:22 pm #200021Mikus, I have said it before…Fans will ruin the game, wherever they come from…no respect for the game or the way it should played. You can have passion without being mindless and that is the culture creeping back in. There is also no point in the old cliche…”it is only a minority”. how many times do we heare that rolled out?

17th October 2022 at 2:31 pm #200022Ed…to answer your question…it is the culture we live in to day, it sells TV coverage, media print or it is not worth bothering about as far as some subjects go, sport being one of them and football top of the list. They have a lot to answer for but ultimately it is down to the fans themselves Minorities rule in our world to day and our Laws getting eroded by the day to accommodate them

17th October 2022 at 4:43 pm #200023Itβs just terrible behaviour
Have to say Stevo , Arsenal are Surprising me. Great run. Still have a boggling doubt about them though. Playing really good football
Chelsea motoring along but you look at their squad and itβs unreal. Options everywhere and they are going to come on strong
Spurs winning games without being great and utd picking up points
Liverpool need to get within a few points of top 4 by wc. Get jota and Diaz back and push on
Nunez will play more now and we need goals galore from him. We can afford any more injuries up top
Still fancy city to absolutely stroll the league

17th October 2022 at 6:56 pm #200024Sean…we are not a bad team as some would say after the loss!!!!!! One loss and they are all over us how we should have done this/that, experts at hindsight of corse. Liverpool played that bit better than us on the day. However, I still do not think we will stroll the league, Pep does not think so either, that will do for me

17th October 2022 at 7:11 pm #200025I haven’t fully explored what has gone on or who started etc, but the behaviour and actions are appalling from both parties and quite frankly unacceptable.
There should be camaraderie and respect between these 2 sets of clubs. Whatever goes on the pitch with the adrenalin and emotions should be wrapped up with handshakes.
The media of some quarters will try and add their own green chilies and peppers more than ever because of the online ‘clickbait’. It’s worse than trying to sell a Newspaper with ‘heated debate’. I can’t really help it or have much choice to watch from elsewhere but Sky Sports seem to be one of the worse.
I just try and turn the television off after the game, but when you spend time online, it’s not always easy to avoid what’s posted for example on youtube etc.

18th October 2022 at 4:14 pm #200044The media got the headlines they wanted, they are not interested in clubs, fans or the match itself…just headlines. It was pre hyped and sensationalised after as expected. What they could and should have done was to take a responsibility in trying to find a solution to such mindless occasions. Nothing will come from a Police investigation it needs deeper understanding and action to fit the deed

18th October 2022 at 4:16 pm #200045PS…I also think this kind of fan behaviour and press involvement will drive Pep and Klopp away from the Premier, then we are all losers
