Jose did nothing wrong yday. Chelsea assistant totally in the wrong but FairPlay to all parties. You could see sari apologizing at the end and the assistant said sorry which Jose accepted. Should be left now but I agree with nine. We might see some action from the fa which is silly

21st October 2018 at 4:32 pm #27424Agree 9. We will just have to wait and see.
Adlab, 6 minutes was added on because Rashford went down injured. Nothing to do with the subs.

21st October 2018 at 6:00 pm #27425I didn’t agree with Mouriniho getting charged a couple of weeks ago. How can you offend anyone when no one knows what you said because you said it in a foreign language and under a whisper. That it takes days for the FA to get a lip reader in lol. I don’t think anybody should be charged for a bit of handbags yesterday. Chelsea apologised so it should an left there. If the FA and the PL want to do something, bring in VAR. After the WC the PL is a step backwards.

21st October 2018 at 6:05 pm #27426I’m sure the substitutions added some time and credit to the Ref for being alert to Jose’s tactics there.
Games are never over until the Ref blows the final whistle and credit to Chelsea imo in keeping going.
Chelsea missed a 2/3 chances in the second half inc a good save from De Gea and it would have been easy for the players to think it’s not going to be our day.

21st October 2018 at 9:30 pm #27427AnonymousMourinho has always behaved as a crazy narcissistic deranged blame game weirdo. Thank goodness Chelsea sacked him. We talking about a man who stuck his filthy finger into the eye socket of a fellow coach who had cancer and has since sadly died. No respect for such people.

21st October 2018 at 9:58 pm #27428Well just about a quarter of the season gone, Utd 10th. It will be difficult to get into the top four. So what will the reaction of the Utd board be. Shall he stay or shall he go. I heard a whisper today that Benitez might do a stand in job but I cant see it after his spat with Ferguson. The source was pretty good. From the North East.
Any thoughts chaps?_____________________________

21st October 2018 at 10:15 pm #27429Moos-
Jose poked Tito Vilanova eye over a year before he was first diagnosed with cancer.
Jose gave an interview when he was Chelsea manager, he was asked if he had 3 wishes to come true, what would they be and his reply was ‘In this moment, I would say Tito Vilanova to recover from his problem’
Both moved on from the incident. It is quite sickening for you to use a cancer victim in order to get one over Mourinho by misleading facts.

21st October 2018 at 10:55 pm #27430To be fair to Mourinho he confirmed his regret of the Vilanova incident way back to his tenure at Real Madrid.
“Jose Mourinho says he regrets the incident when he poked Barcelona boss Tito Vilanova in the eye during a Supercopa de Espana clash.
The Real Madrid boss spoke to Fox Sports during the club’s pre-season tour to the United States and appeared to offer an olive branch to Vilanova before the teams face other again in the same competition in two weeks’ time.
“What I did I should not have done, obviously not, but I’m not a fool that does something without knowing there is a history behind it that makes me lose control.
“I do a lot of work with my players on precisely that, controlling emotions and thinking only about playing and working well.
“The person that was wrong was me. As Tito said a few weeks ago, the images will last forever.
“Most importantly they were negative images but there are no problems between us as we have met in games afterwards and greeted each other.
“The incident is over and we must now try and make sure nothing like it happens again,” explained the Portuguese.
I’m sure Moos got his time lines wrong re Vilanova’s Cancer and didn’t use that dreadful, dreadful disease to make a point.
I’m sure we can all agree that the eye gouge was Mourinho’s lowest moments in a series of low moments sadly pretty much wherever he’s been Manager but what happened on Saturday was far away from the Vilanova incident and Mourinho was provoked.
Mourinho lost it that day but he wished Vilanova recovery from his problems in 2012 in a Real Madrid press conference live on TV as any decent human being would do to someone fighting that dreadful disease and when asked of his three wishes in 2013 whilst Chelsea Manager said this “In this moment, I would say Tito Vilanova to recover from his problem, Mandela to recover from his problem, and everybody in the world that is suffering from similar problems to recover from them.” RIP Tito and my prayers go out to all those suffering with Cancer.

22nd October 2018 at 7:21 am #27433Adlab, Benitez to Utd?! Absolutely no chance. More chance of me getting the job! The Utd board won’t be happy at all with the season so far but I’d say the last 2 games show Mourinho hasn’t lost the players, as I previously thought. We’re not playing great but to come back from 2-0 down and win 3-2 and to come back against Chelsea, who are flying, and probably deserve to win, shows a lot of character. He will have bought himself a bit of time but it will all come down to whether or not he an start to make up some ground on the top sides, as difficult as that currently looks

22nd October 2018 at 7:38 am #27434I would be absolutely gutted if United brought in Benitez. Sure he’s a decent manager, as his record would suggest, but he’s a former Liverpool manager, and he can’t be considered an upgrade compared to Mourinho. As the ed said, the last two games show that he hasn’t lost the drerssing room, so for now I’d let him be.
I can’t see who’s out there that could perform better anyway. Conte, is the only one that could be worth a punt, IMO. But even him I don’t see as an upgrade. Allegri would be great, but why would he leave Juventus? The big problem is that we just don’t have that great a squad. MArtial, Rashford and Lukaku could be a very good front three, but we need to get rid of Sanchez. He’s too big a name to be left on the bench, and I just don’t see him evr coming good at United. Midfield has the potential to be good as well. Matic for a year or so, then a replacement is needed together with Fred behind Pogba. Could be worse.
It’s our defence that needs looking after IMO. Young and Valencia are not good enough to be fullbacks at a club with United’s ambitions. Bailly needs to step up. Lindelöf is a waste off space. I just dont think he’s good enough. And then there is Smalling. And Jones… We need an extremely defensive midfield to help that lot out. And that means United will have a hard time creating anything going forward.
Can we clone Vidic and Ferdinand?_____________________________

In my opinion, Jose should replace Lukaku with Sanchez up top and see how he gets on with Rashford and Martial alongside him.

22nd October 2018 at 8:41 am #27438I’ve read it’s Santiago Solari the Real B Manager. I’m not sure Conte is the right fit for Real and their fans but if he goes it will save Chelsea the best part of £9m.?

22nd October 2018 at 9:15 am #27441CM, might be worth a try. Sanchez would offer more movement than Lukaku. It should be his last chance though. He has been a gigantic disappointment so far. On the other hand Rashford and Martial should be movement enough. We used to have Van Nistelrooy. He didn’t get much out of the box. Lukaku is similar in that way, even if he isn’t at VN’s level (yet?).
I think the danger of playing Sanchez up front is that he’s pushing 30 and Lukaku is 25._____________________________

22nd October 2018 at 9:34 am #27443I have to disagree in regards to Nistelrooy SRD. His movement was quality, his hold up play was quality and he offered a lot off the ball. Lukaku does not offer any of that. Reason why United can look bland in the final 3rd at times. It is quite surprising Jose went for him, he is not a Jose striker. Jose likes his strikers to hold up the ball and bring others in for example like Drogba did with Lampard, Costa wsith Hazard, Milito with Sneijder.
If you remember Jose’s first season at United when we had Zlatan, the amount of chances the club had, but due to poor finishing and the opposition goalkeepers having the game of their lives, they did not go in. Them chances happened because of Zlatans hold up play. IMO one of the reasons why Sanchez is struggling is because of Lukaku lack of hold of play. He may have scored a few goals, but what he offers without the ball is next to nothing.

22nd October 2018 at 9:47 am #27445The Liverpool connection aside didn’t Real bring in Benitez as Manager and he was gone in 7 months. Never going to happen.

22nd October 2018 at 9:58 am #27446With Zidane, Blanc, Conte and Jardim available, why would they go for Benitez. Eddie Howe has a better shout than Benitez. Benitez’s Newcastle currently sit bottom of the league without a win.
Extremely far fetched and fabricated by someone because there is nothing online in regards to it with the exception of a Newcastle legend suggesting it.
Reminds me of the time when he told others that DDG was man of the match for the third consecutive week. Especially when Fellaini and Lukaku were man of the macth the previous 2 games.

22nd October 2018 at 10:23 am #27449Probably true, cm. Lukaku could still develop though. My only worry about playing Sanchez up front instead of Lukaku is that we’d be benching a 25- year old to play a 29- year old who has been flop so far. But of course you need to rethink things when things arre going the way they are – except for the last two games.

22nd October 2018 at 10:49 am #27451Trust me on this one srd. I have been playing Fifa 19 and destroying teams 5 nil online. No defence can handle the Rash, Tony and Sanchez trio.
