I honestly can’t we the FA taking any action against Mouriniho? He was provoked and all he did was stand up really?

21st October 2018 at 8:47 am #27397What do you mean Sean? I don’t think we get much luck but we clearly did yesterday. That’s all I said?
Murphy is a joke of a pundit imo.

21st October 2018 at 9:21 am #27400Murphy has always been against City and pro Utd. Thats up to him. I just ignore him most of the time. The ball was out for our second goal and Kompany was lucky. However these decisions dont counterbalance the bad decisions we get. Heho thats the game.

21st October 2018 at 9:31 am #27401Why would he be pro United when his boyhood club is Liverpool?
Not seen much of Murphy, but what I have seen of him, I can say that there are worse pundits than him out there.

21st October 2018 at 11:48 am #27403AnonymousBoth Ianni and Mourinho showed poor character for the way they behaved. Mourinho knew everyone would have stopped him before he could get hold of that guy, on the evidence of the whole game I thought Chelsea should have won if not for that excuse of a striker upfront and some poor defending by Alonso and Luiz.

21st October 2018 at 12:50 pm #27405Imo Danny Murphy is one of the better pundits they are all paid to say it how they see it and at times to be a bit controversial we never all agree on here on incidents so it’s unsurprising that there are differences of opinion on Murphy’s opinions about certain incidents but I’ve yet to view MOTD.
My beef is with pundits with club allegiances commenting on the live games of their previous clubs and there’s definitely too many Liverpool pundits.

21st October 2018 at 12:56 pm #27406Ed, there’s precedence in the clash between Wenger and Pardew when Pardew was the West Ham Manager and he too over celebrated a last minute winner v Arsenal in the face of Wenger and his staff which led to Wenger reacting in a similar way and a similar free for all occured in that case both were charged Pardew was given a warning and Wenger a £10,000 fine. But it’s the FA so who knows.?

21st October 2018 at 1:22 pm #27408Sean, I think trying to win the CL may be the only thing that could trip City up and let Liverpool in. But even then they’ve got such a strong squad and should be able to cope.

21st October 2018 at 1:31 pm #27409AnonymousI said from the beginning City would win it again, Liverpool have been very lucky and sooner or later the luck changes. only a matter of time before City pull away.

21st October 2018 at 1:37 pm #27410Difference between the Pardew and Wenger incident years ago to the Jose and Chelsea one yesterday is Pardew just celebrated, he did not goad Wenger, Wenger did not like Pardew overly celebrating. With Jose yesterday, he did not do anything wrong with the exception of chasing the coaching staff member after being goaded twice. It was just childish.

21st October 2018 at 2:04 pm #27412Better watch it again Cm. It’s up to the FA though personally I would let it go but they might not like the fraca at the end.
It’s their call and if they want to nail Mourinho like the Ed suggested on the back of the current charge this potentially gives them the ammunition.
“Jose Mourinho and Marco Ianni could land themselves in hot water with the FA following Saturday’s touchline brawl
The FA is awaiting the referee’s report before deciding whether any further action is warranted over the ugly scenes.
Manchester United boss Mourinho is already facing a charge from the governing body for using foul language after his side’s win over Newcastle two weeks ago,
Mourinho took exception to the way Chelsea coach Ianni celebrated Ross Barkley’s late equaliser, prompting a melee around the tunnel.
The Portuguese received an apology from Ianni and Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri and said he considers the matter closed, but it remains to be seen whether the FA opts to take further action over the incident” Daily Mirror 21/10

I watched it again Nine. Even Sarri said it was wrong for what one of his coaching staff did. Punching the air in front of Jose whilst staring at him and then running back to celebrate in front of Jose the 2nd time time.
Here is the Pardew Wenger incident. I don’t believe both incidents are comparable.

21st October 2018 at 2:40 pm #27416Well if that is the precedence Nine, then so be it, but with Wenger having actually shoved Pardew compared to Jose who stood up and mouthed off a bit (which IMO happens all the time anyway) then whatever Jose gets fined it should be a lot less than the £10k Wenger got.

21st October 2018 at 3:19 pm #27417Cm, I’ve not defended Ianni anywhere on this thread and I voted up the Ed’s post @2:29pm and I’ve also said Ianni was the instigator of this problem and Sarri rightly apologised which again on this thread I put up.
I think the two incidents are quite similar but it doesn’t matter what you or I think it’s what the FA think that will decide whether they are both charged.
As I said previously I would let it go probably with a warning to both but it’s probably 50/50 that will happen and it depends on the Referees report as well as the FA’s potential attitude towards Mourinho. We’ll know tomorrow if the FA intend to take action. Cheers 999

21st October 2018 at 4:15 pm #27420To my mind, this time itwas not Mourinho. But, the media want a story. They should all be warned very seriously and told to grow up. Ican understand both reactions – an equaliser in the last 10 seconds. Funnily enough it was Mourinho’s messy substitutions to break up the last few minutes that caused the 6 mins !!,

21st October 2018 at 4:15 pm #27421Moos, I agree. Huddersfield could have had a pen yday and spurs should have had one at the end.
As a Liverpool fan I’m delighted were we are but it is only a matter of time before city pull clear. As long as pep is there, they will dominate for a while
Very pleased with our defence now though especially from set plays. We are so much better organized with vvd there. The goal keeper is confident so that helps the back 4.
The problem is our general play up top. The link up play and final ball needs to improve. We had many opportunities to breK quickly yday but final ball let us down.
Klopp was very annoyed after yday which is good to see. Shaqiri has done really well in all his cameos. Great ball for Salah yday. I’ve no doubt we will get better up top. Finishing 2nd be a huge step for us but Chelsea, spurs and aresnal are all doing very well and I’d never write utd off.
